Granma. It's a Cuban newspaper.
It's my mom's mom. ;)
Maybe Saturday Night Live can have a new version of the classic "Francisco Franco" routine.....
That would be nice. :)
Are you genuinely interested in a debate or just trying to provide us with comic relief? McHrozni
This is the politics forum, right? ;)
I know that the verb in the OP is correct, but even so, the impermanent nature of estar makes this post a little bit funnier

When combined with his usual behavior, probably not. Yet another example of someone who wants to be treated with kid gloves while dishing it out himself.

In other news, Hugo takes another step towards leading the Glorious Bolivarian Revolution from beyond the grave.

He said Mr Chavez was undergoing "intensive chemotherapy, as well as complementary treatments".

As in, some kind of woo "complementary treatments"?

Isn't Chavez a believer in various kinds of woo?

E.g., he once claimed that the 2010 earthquake in Haiti was caused by a US weapons test.

He is, yes. Complimentary treatments in a patient recieving cancer chemotherapy could also be to counter sickness, boost the immune system, vitamins and whatnot. It could also be drops of pure water and sugar pills. It could also be both.

I'm suspecting embalming fluid however.

Maduro made a big speech today, didn't tell much, and blamed the US for Chavez getting cancer in the first place. It's pathetic, and would be extremely funny if it weren't this tragic.

Will he be buried next to Simon Bolivar, or will they encase him in glass and put him on display like Lenin?

So it will be a case of New Boss, Same As The Old Boss?

I'm guessing both.

Almost certainly not. There is no one within Chavizmo that could succeede him, he made sure to keep competent and charismatic people (who could pose a threat) out. The new boss will be a lot less competent and will rely on repression much more than on religious loyalty of his subjects. It is entirely possible that the worst is yet to come.

Danger is in an attempt to keep power, Chavez's sucessors might play the Anti Yankee card and really do something stupid.

I'm not saying that the Americans used their cancer ray guns, but I'm not saying they didn't.
