So there are Mormons who can sing well enough to go trough an audition process for a choir.
Good for them. And I'm sure they are talented.
But errr, what exactly does this have to do with LDS practices or beliefs at all?
Is there a religion that Isn't
Depends on what the person gets out of it...and the person.
I have a devout Catholic friend. She's logical, and doesn't blindly buy into all of it, but her faith in God is something she holds deeply. I don't agree with that, but I've seen that what she takes with her from her religion is the best of what most religions have to offer: fellowship and compassion. She's a lovely woman who derives a lot of serenity from her faith. Who am I to tell her she's wrong?
Now, if she were like Janadele, that would be painful to witness.
Five. Is the NBA still in season?Fourth. Can we be a gang yet?
Not intended but funny. "Prophet".
Dude, take the credit, it's well earned. I was sure it was intentional!

Hmm. We need to start thinking about a leader. skyrider appointed RandFan before, but now he's one of them, so we droogs need to decide which of us is the most EvilTM and therefore the most deserving of such an honor.
That's a bit cynical. The BofM was first published in 1830. Do you really think that in 180 years the Church, run by god through his profit, could perfect the most correct book ever written? Have some patience and give it a few hundred years more. God will eventually get the most correct book right.
that's sarcasm btw

Confirmation bias. I remember when I was a Mormon I would note all of the celebrities, scientists, leaders of industry, politicians, artists, etc. that were Mormon. It was confirmation that the Mormon Church had positive aspects and therefore a good Church. It's as relevant as pointing out that the Catholic Church holds some of the greatest works of art on Earth. Or that Baptists contribute large number of artists to gospel, R&D, Jazz, Soul, rock and roll. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir have inspired and given joy to many with their music.

Included in the building are a chapel, offices, classrooms and a small cultural hall.
Does it include any evidence that there were steel and horses in the New World?

Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve dedicated the newly completed Abu Dhabi Stake Centre of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United Arab Emirates on Feb. 22 February, 2013.

"The building is very well equipped to transmit our meetings to members around the region," said Robert E. Bateman II, president of the Abu Dhabi stake. "In terms of electronic technology, remotely controlled cameras and projection capabilities, it may be one of the most advanced in the Church."

"Constructed of concrete masonry with a stucco finish, the stake center has approximately 14,000 square feet of space on three levels, said David McMillan, director for temporal affairs for the area. He said that one of the architectural features is a dome-shaped "steeple" in keeping with the local culture. Included in the building are a chapel, offices, classrooms and a small cultural hall.'
TO SOME it resembles a budding flower; others see a spaceport. The building that draws stares in the German city of Cologne is a new mosque, under construction since 2008, and one of a growing crop in countries where a large Muslim presence is new.
A new mosque in Lincoln has been granted unanimous approval by Lincoln city councillors in UK, reported Lincolnshire.
The proposed two-storey place of worship at the old Boultham Dairy initially sparked controversy which led to a petition against the plans from Boultham Residents’ Association.
