Ed Rob Menard's FOTL Claims

I watched this clip. When I could pick myself up from the floor after laughing so much (he continued to film while he was being TASED!!!) I found myself being shocked at his sheer arrogance.

That's what gets me so much about these FOTLers - they think they are entitled to EVERYTHING, and when their magic words don't work its not their fault, its ours for being corrupt shills etc. And yet what exactly is their input into society?
 
What is hilarious is the reason for Peterson's original court appearance was for riding his bicycle at night without lights. It is typical FOTL behaviour: Turn a minor infringement into something colossal. :D

And according to the freeman's "no harm, no foul" interpretation of the law riding your bike in the dark without lights isn't a crime until you dent the grill of someboy's truck with your head because the driver couldn't see you.

Not to mention, "Refuse to do something sensible because The Man told you to do it".
 
Peterson lives off his mother, who receives monthly disability payments from the government, but he said he doesn't apply for any benefits.

That reminds me of the time when Menard made the unfortunate mistake on Ickes forum of saying anyone recieving any form of benefit from the state couldnt be a true freeman.
He alienated 99% of his audience in one post.

Although I suppose that Menard himself is no longer a freeman seeing as he has filed a lawsuit through the courts which a benefit of the state.

This "no lights" example exposes just how ridiculous the FOTL beliefs are. In the absence of statute law there would be no requirement for lights to be fitted on a vehicle. It would be optional. The only time somebody could be prosecuted for driving without any lights would be if it could be proved that harm was caused as a result of the vehicle having no lights. The Menards of this world would say that "Freemen are responsible individuals and would ensure their vehicles are safe" but as this case shows they are not always responsible people and some do not believe that lights are mandatory. In a FOTL world if a freeman jumped in his car at night, switched on his lights and found them to be faulty, he would still have the option to make that journey because driving without lights at night is lawful in FOTL world.

Bobby claims to be ex-military. One has to wonder if he takes any vet benefits.

I can verify that he is indeed ex-military and that he has an honourable release item. Everything other than that is protected by statute law (specifically the Privacy Act)

Would the above entitle him to any benefits?
 
I could ignore statute law, but that puts me in an awkward position, being a paralegal in government service, AND a member of Her Majesty's Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery. So unless Bobby says its OK that's all I'm willing to do.

Given his length of service, hes not entitled to a long service annuity. His release item doesn't indicate that his release was for medical reasons, but that doesn't preclude him from going to Veterans Affairs Canada and claiming compensation pursuant to either the Pension Act (if he did so prior to 2005) or the New Veterans' Charter (post-2005) if he has suffered an injury attributable to his service.

When Bobby boy sees that post he will be busy "deconstructing" (misinterpreting) those acts in order to see if hes due anything.

If he's looking he'll first need to be able to draw a link from what ever he's going to complain of to his service - and since that ended 27 and a bit years ago he's got some work ahead of him.

Oh and those guys who claimed that the CF is responsible for their addictions have never been successful in their applications, so that'll be a non-starter Bob.
