Dr Phil promotes "Satanic Ritual Abuse" conspiracy theory

PS - Altus, "Doc W" has now removed the photo of Anton Zorich from his Amazon profile. Coincidence, perhaps?

Well, well, well, isn't that interesting, Dismember? I can't seem to locate the FB profile that I found so easily with that picture just this morning.

I guess the WSJ is a little harder to alter. I hope it stays frozen.

And here is our "Doc Wallace," who uses/borrows/steals? the identity of someone from France--who appears to be a very accomplished mathematician--agreeing with Richard Kluft that Debbie Nathan is "unethical" for calling Kluft on his close-doored presentation on DID where he made "unsubstantiated talk of baby killing, KKK, CIA, military torture and the admirals and the three-star generals..."

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100...mod=WSJ_article_comments#articleTabs=comments (Go to page 3.)

I was wondering how very accomplished mathematician born in Russia and teaching France would even know of, much less give a rats azz about, the ISSTD, an American-grown organization of therapist conspiracy nuts who perpetuate the stuff Nathan named. I think we may have just found our answer.

Like I say, this Amazon discussion is not what it's about; it's about the other forums where they traffic their beliefs. You'll notice at least one other of "The Usual Suspects" there as well.

Gold, I tell you, gold!

Update: "Doc Wallace" pulled his picture of Anton Zorich from the Wall Street Journal. This is the quality of people you are dealing with. At least help the real Dr. Zorich get his identity back. I don't think Doc Wallace will be "borrowing" it anytime soon.

Ah, I see your update. Yep, Doc Wallace pulled his avatar from the WSJ.

However, I saved a screenshot last night:

If you check "his" profile (linked somewhere upthread) you'll see that after removing the photo from Amazon he also deleted his other reviews.

Orphia, good thinking with the screenshot!

I also saved copies of his Facebook page, and one of the WSJ pages where he uses Anton Zorich's photo. I'm using Mozilla Archive Format and I think the archived page can be used as legal proof of copyright breach (etc), just like Freezepage.

Oy vey, what a web of lies these folks keep getting caught in.

for posterity

Sometimes posting here helps me to keep a running tab of all the crazy things Judy Byington, LCSW, and her cult try to get away with on Amazon.

So far, "Felicity Lee" got caught red-handed using the alias "Christopher Allen" and then blatantly denying it, claiming everyone else was "confused". She and "BlueMoon" have told several obvious lies, many of which have been caught in screen shots or otherwise documented.

Judy Byington, MSW, LCSW * has been caught lying about her alleged professional relationship with the Utah Attorney General's office, and tripped herself up several times on other matters, like Doug's screenshots of the rather damning conversation with Jenny Hill's sister.

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 29, 2012 11:39:19 AM PST

Judy Byington says:
Karmakaze alias Douglas Misicko...don't you think it's wierd how you think yourself an expert on people you have never met and refuse to communicate with you even though you beg them to?
-------

Byington's statement was a direct reference to this conversation posted in Doug's blog, and true to form, in her clumsy attempt to insult him she confirmed that she 1] viewed the page despite her possibly libelous claim that it "contains viruses" and 2] confirmed that the screenshots are authentic.

In the past week and a half we've had "Tylas Raine", "Doc Wallace," aka "Doc W", and "Stephan" all post 5 star reviews of Twenty-Two Faces and then quickly delete them when the conversation apparently didn't go as they expected. Tylas Raine deleted her review and promptly changed her name to "Hope", and "Doc W" deleted ALL his reviews and removed his user photo (or more accurately, Anton Zorich's photo, which for some inexplicable reason he used as his own). I wonder how long it will be until yet another "new" poster comes along to leave another predictably insipid 5 star review?

ETA - I don't want to forget Mikayla, whose personal blog seems to describe a journey into paranoid psychosis. Unlike the other SRA believers, it's hard to tell if she is consciously lying because it's unclear whether she can even discern reality from fantasy.

Altus, Orphia, anyone else -- have I missed anything?

For posterity, "Doc W's" profile, before "he" pulled all of his reviews and removed Anton Zorich's photo: http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f251/av6/Doc-Amazonprofile.jpg

*I did a Google search for "Judy Byington" and this thread was the 7th result. The "preview" showed a post that quoted Judy's full name and title. I don't know if it will work, but I'm curious to see if referring to her as "Judy Byington, MSW, LCSW" will put us higher in the search results.

Jeez, that was pretty darn pathetic.

All of these impostures are so ridiculously easy to blow apart. Why are they even bothering?

Dismember, your post for posterity was awesome! :cheerleader2

I'm continually impressed by the activistic, methodical, rational and analytical approaches that posters to this thread take. You guys are absolutely awesome!

Note, we haven't had one troll derail this thread. It's been totally productive all the way. Yay for DIDers' irrational fears of our "virus-containing sites"! :D :oldroll: :)

Dismember, if I understand your post correctly, you seem to be implying that Ms. Byington and her coterie might on occasion deviate a hair or two from strict factual reality. (Please correct me if I'm reading too much into this.)

I'm kind of surprised they don't more often avail themselves of what would seem to me to be the obvious out: I didn't post that, one of my "alters" did!

The whole belief system is a crock. It got into the DSM when psychiatrists could shoot women up with drugs and induce alters through hypnosis. This is where a lot of the "studies" (case studies) came from that are still on the books.

Kluft, who I referenced above, is still busy spreading his conspiracy bunk. Now he does it behind closed doors instead of trying to publish this stuff. Nathan caught him red-handed.

David Spiegel, the head of the DSM working group, was responsible for keeping this in the DSM. Here he is using hypnosis and inducing alters on a patient. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JY8Ic7ombDs Where are the ethics that allow the APA to let this guy head up their working group on DID instead of holding him accountable for his stage show tactics?

David just gave a speech to the ISSTD (International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation) the org "Doc Wallace" was taking issue with Nathan over in the WSJ. Kluft is their hero! This year they featured speakers on Satanic Ritual Abuse including Ellen Lacner. You have to listen to this woman. It's unbelievable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXN33qB_mSk

You would be inclined to think Byington and company are exceptions until you realize the APA has allowed luminaries like the above to run the show on this diagnosis, right up to the publication of the DSM-V, which is about to hit the streets.

Disgusting. I left a comment there.

I listened to a bit of that, but then Ellen Lacter starts going on about Mind Control.

A counsellor is a conspiracy nut? You're right, that is unbelievable. Yet again, I'm resolved to speak out against these awful people.

What the hell?

Loads of Felicity's posts have been deleted by Amazon. But not all.

Thanks for the heads-up, Baffled. I'm like you: baffled. :con2: But rather amused.

That's a good idea.

Interesting, though... when I Google Judy Byington, this thread is on the 7th page.

Google wants me to search for "Judy Byington twenty two faces". When I do, this thread is on the second page.

I don't think it's just hers. Trying to click on "In reply to an earlier post" reveals, for example, that when Felecity Lee posts this:

In reply to an earlier post on Dec 26, 2012 5:35:25 PM PST
Felicity Lee says:
Karma - keep on dreaming - I don't have to 'cover any tracks' - I have my own opinions, and they don't change based on what you say ... [etc.]
...the post she was reply to has been deleted. I have to assume it was one of Karmakaze's.

Admittedly, that's about as far as I've investigated it, though.

Maybe they are posts with insults in them. Most of Felicity's have/had them. And I did see one from Karmakaze that was unusually impolite from him/her.

"judy byington" gets a hit on page 3.
"Judy Byington twenty two faces" gets a hit on page 1, although it's right at the bottom.

Here are my search results for "Judy Byington". We're near the bottom, but showing up on page 1. Searching for "Judy Byington Weindorf" put us even higher on the page.

If I'm the only one seeing this, Google must be giving me customized search results. I checked my settings and made sure all the personalized result features were turned off, but I'm probably still missing something.

I know I'm getting personalised results, since I'm logged in to Google and using Chrome. But WTF?! Why isn't MY thread always the number one result if these results are for me?! :D

(Probably because the JREF forum is one of my home tabs, and I don't click this thread from Google. And also, I've visited Judy Byington's website multitudes of times using Google, so I might be getting a woo person's results.)

ETA: It's good to know this thread is high up in the results. Thanks for the info, Scott and Dismember.

There's a chapter in Twenty-Two Faces describing how Jenny Hill, pregnant with twins in her 2nd trimester, was admitted to the hospital because her health was failing. According to the book, there was "no movement in either" of the twins and the doctor induced labor right away.

This took place in 1983 -- could something like this have actually happened back then, under any circumstances?

Judy Byington said:
After an eternal wait a nurse brought in two large glass jars, each containing a brown-skinned infant about twelve inches long, floating in pale liquid. The bereaved mother stared longingly at her motionless sons, ....

What are the odds that a nurse would have brought deceased infants back to their mother, in jars of formaldehyde? Is this another Judy Byington National Enquirer-style invention or did hospital staff actually do things like this in 1983?
