Bigfoot DNA

There is a report coming from one of the more credible sources in the bigfoot world (Steven Streufert) that Ketchum's "paper" is going to be "published" this week.
...
... SS is fooling with us
just a joke...based on the end of the Mayan calendar/or on Ketchum's endless stalling.

nonetheless, there will be bleevers searching the intertubes when the clock runs down...

So in just a bit of a documented recap. i am personally aware of about 15 individuals who were told by Miss Melba that the samples they submitted to her were indeed bigfoot. People like Sasfooty, Indiefoot, Southern Yahoo, Justin Smeja all publically confirmed that information on the BFF, that they had been notified that their samples were indeed frombigfoot! I am personally aware of several others from personal contacts.

So now lets walk into todays reality! Melba has publically stated that she has 20 mtDNA samples, all which came back human! So she could not have gotten the positive for BF samples from there, correct?

So if those came back human, where did the >15 positive samples come from? she has said she only has 3 individual nuDNA genomes, so if my math is right, she could only tell 3 sample submitters that they had BF DNA - right? so where did the minimum of 12 positive samples - how does she know? the math simply does not match up.

The interesting thing here is that all of the positive sample givers have not figured out that 15 is > 3. I understand it is a complex mathmatical concept, but really at what point will the light go on in the tower for one of these submitters, so far they have not questioned this seemingly impossible conumdrum!
CWB

let me get this straight. :boggled:

She is claiming to have only three samples which have something other than regular old modern human DNA. But she told at least 15 people that their samples had bigfoot DNA. :jaw-dropp

I guess she just wanted to make those other people feel special. Isn't that nice?

If the sample submitters do catch on to the math of the misleading results/phone calls from Ketchum, and try to contact her (good luck on that), they might also ask her about the peer review results:
DALLAS, Nov. 24--A team of scientists can verify that their 5-year long DNA study, currently under peer-review...
Because it has been 3 1/2 weeks since that was posted. If a journal did have the paper, then she should have some response by now.

Perhaps each of those 15 submitters thinks that 12 of them either didn't understand what Melba Ketchum told them, or are just lying?
And non-disclosure agreements are apparently effective and do not help them to clear things up.They were made to muddy the waters and to keep the submitters in the dark IMO.

actually alot worse than that.

you have that right! and I was being way overly conservative. I have been told from 2different sources that everyone who submitted samples was informed that at least one of their samples were definitely BF!
And melba has said she ran 107 samples I believe, some of them multiple submissions from one individual. so in actuality she has probably told 60 or 70 people that they found BF DNA, including a guy who found his sample in the middle of a city park, less than 2 acres in size, surrounded by urban landscape!
CWB

I stuck with the 15 number because i had first hand claims or public aknowledgements for those!

I personally would not trust the BFF member Sasfooty. But anyway, if you've read the press release then you probably know Dr. Ketchum is claiming that Bigfoot is a hybrid between modern Homo sapiens females and and an unknown non-"human" primate. Professor Todd Disotell went into detail about the implications of her press release on two podcasts and stated that her claim that they are a hybrid is the only statement in the press release that sounds like it could be credible and that he personally can't refute. So if what Dr. Ketchum says is true, in simple words it would mean that Sasquatch mtDNA is almost the exact the same as ours due to the hybridization, but their nuclear DNA is very different. I don't know how she confirmed the samples that she didn't do nuDNA testing on are authentic Sasquatch samples.

I've noticed the term Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) has come up numerous times in this matter/discussion. Apparently anyone who's breathed the air within a 5 mile radius of Ketchum in the last 15 years has been asked to sign one. At least if they wanna know what it is she's supposedly up to. My question is, what could she possibly be up to that is worth the threat of being...slapped...spanked...sued? By whom? And for what exactly? Lost revenue? What could this mass of NDA insiders possibly be 'privy' to that would or could cause actual damage to her endeavor should it be publicly revealed? Maybe I've missed something. No I admit it, I've missed plenty. But I mean, so what! She's had some 'of suspicious origin' DNA tested by a reputable(?) lab and the DNA didn't happen to match...who or what exactly...OJ Simpson? And? Seriously, am I an idiot to even ask if said DNA could be from anything other than a known and real animal?

Wouldn't it be funny if Ketchum really did have a sense of humor though, and was actually pulling a joke on everyone? That her 'special' DNA is really from the one and only stud of studs, Dr. Jeff Meldrum. DNA she meticulously (if not uber-quickly) extracted late one Saturday night. I can hear him now "Hey baby, sequence this!" And she did. :jaw-dropp

NDA prevent people to publically talk about what they are privately said (about the status of their sample for example). Basically, Melba Ketchum can privately say what people wants to hear without worrying about contradictions and inconsistencies, and continues the game again and again. It lasts for more than four years.

LOL ~ The comments are priceless, sure wish they had a few pictures or the body to display, but you can't ask for proof of Bigfoot you can only imagine it.
Keep it up you silly footers it's always a good laugh :)

The ketchum study is a compromised farce and anyone who actually signed the kook fart nda is an idiot. Its that simple.

Not qualified to touch dna, and make determinations
Makes crazy claims or at least doesnt deny them

blahahahahhaha...

it's BS

All Todd Disotell said was that considering the claims she was making that hybridization would be the explanation that made the most sense, but that her claims are not supported until he can see the data therefore he could not refute it.....Has anyone seen any data to refute or confirm? No.

All he meant by that is that hybridization with another homind was possible, not that he thought it had happened.

She can't go around telling everyone that they have bigfoot DNA if all she sequenced was 3 genomes and 20 mtDNA, which she said were human.

It's a wait and see what she has. This hype is getting to be funny. I'm guessing her results are may be duplicated by other outside testing. However, those results might be interpreted in a much different fashion, leading to a much different conclusion. (degraded, contamination, or simply human not in genbank) Basically the same ambiguous "unknown primate" crap/junk terms that in simple terms spell out BS.

It may all be a bluff, but who knows. Maybe she has reptilian/alien/bigfoot/demon DNA and has created an army of soliders to attack any non conforming/consuming suckers.

Just IMHO of course! ;-)

I'm still amazed this thing has gone on this long and still has any support from the footers. (which seems to be dwindling quickly)

I'm no attorney...but as solely a 'secret keeping device' amongst friends, and that appears to be pretty much what she's got going on, the efficacy of those NDAs is at best dubious, especially when the subject matter has a cosmically zero chance of actually materializing. And supposing there is a breach, what exactly would the cause of action be, and as importantly, how much would it be worth? Crossing one's heart and hoping to die is probably just as effective secret keeping promise.

I think my bigger confusion is I'm still not getting where Ketchum's automated 'fame & fortune' teller machine is located. I mean, being there is no Bigfoot and all. Seems getting all caught up in the pretend DNA analysis of a pretend creature would ultimately lead to nothing but hard feelings and a big trail of unanswered questions. Hardly profitable I'd say, but then again, this is Popular Bigfooting. ;)

They had a dying bigfoot in front of them and no one took a photo? Oh right, that would be "disrespectful." Okey, well what DID the bigfoots do with Fox after he died? Did they eat him or bury him?
 Ate him, of course. You gotta eat 'em right away or you'll get a bunch of nosy scientists poking around looking for a body. And they ate him cause that's what Fox wanted. Sheesh! Sorry Mr. Science Q. Scientist, there is no body, quit asking!

In all seriousness, it's pathetically funny how they¹ create all these Bigfoot scenarios in which they¹ have no real-world way of getting out of - short of producing an actual body - yet do it so often and regularly that when they're not doing it is when they're actually suspect by fellow BFers. It's completely insane.

¹ A BF proponent/charlatan of any sort who refuses to acknowledge even the most painfully obvious of truths e.g. Ketchum, Meldrum, Moneymaker.

I think that Ketchum's (and Paulides?) goal is/was just to keep the confidence of her rich "customers" (Adrian Erickson?, Wally Hersom?) so as to keep the cash coming as long as possible. She runs/ran a DNA business and rich customers are good for business. Scammers usually don't give a damn about hard feelings or unanswered questions.

So instead of DNA we're getting NDA's?

I can give a partial answer: Ketchum's initial brush with Bigfoot netted her two television appearances. That is both fame and money. Her second was with Tom Biscardi and David Paulides, both of whom had access to very rich backers. She eventually went with Paulides, and if we believe him, hundreds of thousands of dollars went to her to do testing. And she was/is clearly famous, at least among several hundred devotees, and now she is known around the world. What is not clear is 1) what happened to all the money, and 2)what is/will be happening now that things are starting to look a little dodgy, even to Mr. Moneybags Bleever.
