Vaccine/autism CT discussion

One of my brothers has a daughter who is severely autistic. I take offense to the term too. It just shows the limits of Clayton's medical knowledge.

Please provide casenotes for patients who prove a trend of first displaying ASD symptoms only after brain damage.

My guess is you wont. Nor will you even try to understand any of the words you type with such ersatz conviction. Prove me wrong.

In any case, I daresay autism is probably more likely to be caused by the expectant Mum being exposed to voodoo than by a child's undergoing the first world's vaxx programme.

I have never, in the whole of my short life, felt as much disdain as I do for people who would risk the lives of infant children all for the sake of a TREND.

Disdain, in retrospect, is nowhere near a harsh enough term. But I do have civility rules to comply with.

Because it puts another nail in the vaccinesdidit coffin? Anti-vaxxers hate hate hate any studies that don't involve vaccines and studies that can't find any association between vaccines and autism. Funnily, they aren't funding any research themselves even though they have had offers from very reputable scientists to do so.

You are aware that much of the research you have a problem with has actually been conducted by academics independent of Big Pharma aren't you? I'm sure we've been through this before on this very thread.

Your assertions regarding the vaccine industry are irrelevant to the independent large, well-conducted trials that looked at whether there was a link between MMR and autism (and found no such link), for example.

If all you have is "OMG, Big Pharma are dodgy therefore we can't trust vaccine research" then you're never going to be able to address the independent research that shows that vaccines are safe and effective.

Thimerosal is about 50% mercury and is the most toxic chemical of DPT vaccine ingredients. Supposedly mercury has been removed from many vaccines, however it is still used in the manufacturing process of the vaccine and is then filtered out of the final product. Because of the supposed removal of Thimerosal people have a better feeling, doctors say they have improved the safety of the vaccines, but the problem still exists because during the manufacturing process the mercury binds with proteins in the vaccine ingredients and remains after the filtration process is completed and studies have found that mercury still exists in the vaccine that does not have Thimerosal in it. Mercury is the second most toxic chemical known to man and some doctors who dare to stand against the industry and vaccines claim the amount of mercury in some vaccines would require a 225 pound man to absorb and handle the mercury present in the vaccine, but these are being injected into children.

Adverse medical effects

Sorbitol also may aggravate irritable bowel syndrome,[14] and similar gastrointestinal conditions, resulting in severe abdominal pain for those affected, even from small amounts ingested.

It has been noted that the sorbitol added to SPS (Sodium Polystyrene Sulfonate, used in the treatment of hyperkalemia) can cause complications in the GI tract, including bleeding, perforated colonic ulcers, ischemic colitis and colonic necrosis, particularly in patients with uremia. The authors of the paper in question cite a study on rats (both non-uremic and uremic) in which all uremic rats died on a sorbitol enema regimen, whilst uremic rats on non-sorbitol regimens - even with SPS included - showed no signs of colonic damage. In humans, it is suggested that the risk factors for sorbitol-induced damage include "... immunosuppression, hypovolemia, postoperative setting, hypotension after hemodialysis, and peripheral vascular disease." They conclude that SPS-sorbitol should be used with caution, and that "Physicians need to be aware of SPS-sorbitol GI side effects while managing hyperkalemia." [15]
