Merged The election was stolen/rigged!

No, every source I find problems with is a bad source. I found several serious problems with your first poll-watcher story, which you admitted you got from a tabloid, and I described those problems. You have yet to address them, yet you seem to want us still to consider the story valid. That won't happen.

Other poll-watcher stories, for example, are anonymous anecdotes phoned in to a radio call-in show. Can you suggest a method by which such anecdotes can be tested and verified? Or must we, like you, simply take those anonymous stories on faith?

Stop whining when your sources are refuted, Robert.

Stop whining when your facts are refuted. None of the sources cited were "tabloids".

Again, Robert, just because someone claiming fraud means that it is fraud. Perhaps it's someone who is sore because their favourite lost.

Voter fraud complaints from Rye, Manchester and Atkinson

"Rye resident files complaint alleging voting fraud"

"James Betti of Rye is suspicious about the high turnout and filed a complaint with the state attorney general's office. Turnout in Rye was 82 percent, with 3,846 ballots cast out of 4,680 voters, including 315 new voters who registered Election Day, said Town Clerk Beth Yeaton. She said only 42 voters, or less than 1 percent, filled out challenged-voter affidavits because they did not show photo ID when they voted..."

"In an e-mail to town moderator Bob Eaton, Betti, citing census figures and observations at the polls, spoke to an "implausibility" of having so many newly registered voters on Election Day. He said voter fraud may have occurred in Rye because the Democratic Party identified the local Republican state representatives as "hostile."

Still more unsubstantiated claims/whining. This is even more pathetic than the previous efforts, here they simply find the turnout implausible and their personal incredulity is supposed to mean something?

You can find vote results by county on this site.
I have looked in Ohio and several other states and cannot find a single county where the vote was 100% in favour of one candidate or the other. I found counties where Romney won by 91% and lots where he won by 80%+.

I saw a clip on one channel or the other where it was reported that Obama lost at one precinct 139 to 5 votes. One of the five was found by the news crew but did not want his name or image identified.
One person interviewed believed Obama was a Muslim and another that he was not born in Haiwii

OBVIOUS fraud

He said voter fraud may have occurred(i.e. no actual evidence) in Rye because the Democratic Party identified the local Republican state representatives as "hostile."

Irrelevant. None of your sources were credible. Reasons were given by several posters, including myself, for why the sources were not credible. You refuse to address any of those reasons. You're just spinning rhetorically from cheap shot to cheap shot and spamming with additional copypaste that you clearly have no intention of defending.

As I said, I have provided detailed and lengthy analyses of your claims. If you want to refute my facts, then begin with those.

"James Betti of Rye is suspicious..."

All his claims are based simply on his supposition. How does violation of one man's subjective expectations constitute evidence of fraud? His testimony of poll activity is unsubstantiated hearsay. Why won't he present himself to the media to be questioned? Why is he skeptical of the attorney general's explanations for his inexperienced, layman's observations?

You can post a thousand anecdotes from disgruntled voters, and it won't change the fact that you can present absolutely no evidence that fraud was the cause of any of those observations. You're simply noting hearsay complaints, anonymous anecdotes, and irregularities and attributing it all to fraud. Do you understand the difference between "caused by" and "attributed to," and what evidentiary burden must be satisfied to draw the distinction?

It would be nice if anyone here had actually followed the campaign strategies. In states where election day registration was allowed, the Dem strategy was to have as many supporters as possible register and vote the same day. At first I thought this was to confound the pollsters who base their figures on party registrastion (Karl Rove's big blunder in Ohio was based on this illusion), but I think it's a little more clever and that may have been an interesting side effect. The clever bit is that they only need to motivate that person to get off their duff on election day, and not on separate days to register and then to vote. And since grassroots drives are based on even providing transportation, if you committed to a precinct level organizer that you'd register and vote for Obama on the 6th, they'd have a neighbor with a van coming by to pick you up that morning so you had no excuse to miss out.

Apparently, like Rasmussen and Rove and Gallup, the gentleman quoted is unaware of this sharp tactic.

I'll save Robert the trouble of posting a link to http://www.barackofraudo.com/. It's brought to you by the same guy who utterly failed to predict the outcome of the election on http://www.unskewedpolls.com/ and he's following exactly the same pattern: If the numbers don't agree with what you want to be true, change the numbers.

As I noted on the other thread: this is a guy who doesn't seem to grasp that people in Philadelphia might not be very fond of Romney.

and he's suspicious of how it's the large (and Democratic) urban areas in Virginia that reported their results last. As if large counties with hundreds of precincts and several hundred thousand voters can report everything as quickly as a rural county with a couple thousand voters. The man is an idiot.

There were people in Arlington still in line to vote at 10 pm election night. Which would cause the precinct to report later.

He's also of the attitude that being a city automatically means that the ballot boxes are being stuffed. Don't need proof or anything. Just is.

Well I suppose getting more Democratic voters out to the polls counts as 'vote rigging' by the standards of some of the Republican right wing...

So... have all of those people who voted for Romney in Ohio come forward to demand an explanation as to why their vote wasn't counted yet?

I'm sure Robert will be along with a cut 'n' paste job explaining how they've all been placed under house arrest/shipped off to a FEMA camp/abducted by aliens from Obama's home planet.

I'll also bet that the nuttier members of the GOP think that the Dems not providing transport to likely Romney voters is suppressing the vote.

I duuno, last time I asked his response was something along the lines of "There's no way to know if an individual's vote is counted or not" which is funny because a situation like this is pretty much the only time someone would know for a fact their vote wasn't counted.
