All became rampant with the proliferation of vaccines.

Very well when can I expect your statistical analysis that eliminates all other possible causes?

Since you didn't notice I was pointing out the idiocy of trying to validate an idiotic possible link to the cause of autism, the mating of very intelligent people, by soliciting anonymous information.

Why is it idiotic?
We know it's not due to vaxx by now, so why not focus on the genetic connection?

You missed the biggest, and by far the most dangerous "malady" connected to vaccinations becoming common in the developed world... which is of course none other than the anti-vax movement.

I suppose this could be considered "irony" -- a new study appears to indicate that mothers who have the flu during pregnancy are significantly more likely to produce autistic children. Thus the anti-vax movement may have actually increased the incidence of autism, rather than reduced it.

Thanks Stellaphane.
From the article.
Although the study was not designed to ask about cases of the flu, mothers who reported having the flu during their pregnancy were two times more likely to have a child with autism, according to the study published Monday in the journal Pediatrics. Those whose fever persisted for a week or more before their third trimester were three times more likely to have a child on the autism spectrum, the study found.

That's sadly impressive.

You must be joking. Your claims have been rebutted, with appropriate supporting evidence. You are no longer willing and able to defend them, so you simply declare victory.

That's certainly a novel approach to debate Clayton. I don't think for a moment that anyone will find it persuasive.

Is it strange to want to tickle a complete stranger's baby?

I mean, hypothetically.

Not really.

Nothing makes a weasel argue more vigorously than being proven wrong. ...
The traditional method for approaching an argument is to bring up relevant facts and weave them together in a logical framework. Unfortunately, that won't work against weasels, because they use a superior debating method that involves conjuring up hallucinations, carefully arranging them in a tangled lump, and declaring victory.-Scott Adams

A genetic connection that emerges world wide in multiple genetically diverse communities?

When something that stupid is FOCUSED on you gotta understand a cover up is IP(in progress).

Why didn't you just write ''in progress'' instead of ''ins IP''?

It's like watching a Rachel Ray cooking show.

"Just add some EVOO- extra virgin olive oil"...."And a table spoon of EVOO- extra virgin olive oil"... "Drizzle with some EVOO - extra virgin olive oil"

IF YOU ARE GOING TO DEFINE "EVOO" EVERY TIME YOU USE IT, JUST SAY "EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL"!! NO "EVOO" REQUIRED!

You seem to think autism is a new disorder that's suddenly emerged worldwide. It wasn't named until the mid-20th century but that doesn't mean it didn't exist before then: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism#History

If you look at the more recent history you can see something quite interesting too.

Diagnosis of autism has increased in recent years. The prevalence estimates in children now are much, much higher than they were in the 60s & 70s: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epidemiology_of_autism#Changes_with_time That doesn't mean that autism as we now know it was very rare back then, it means that it was very rarely diagnosed.

What happens if you take people who were young then and use today's criteria? This: http://www.ic.nhs.uk/statistics-and...m-the-adult-psychiatric-morbidity-survey-2007 From the full report (PDF) -
The overall prevalence of ASD, using the threshold of a score of 10 on the ADOS to indicate a positive case, was 1.0% of the adult population in England (equivalent to a rate of 10 per thousand).
Because no significant variation in rate by broad age group was evident, it was not deemed necessary to age standardise the subsequent tables in this report.
The age groups were 16-44, 45-74 and 75+. The prevalence of ASD was 11 per thousand, 9 per thousand and 8 per thousand respectively.

A survey by the Office of National Statistics of the mental health of children and young people in Great Britain found a prevalence rate of 0.9% for autism spectrum disorders or 90 in 10,000 (Green et al, 2005). So a survey in 2005 in children found the same rate as a survey in 2007 in adults. But those adults in the 2007 survey weren't diagnosed with ASD at the time. By today's criteria, they have ASD. It's perhaps worth thinking about what's changed since those adults were young.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC188387/

The number of children diagnosed as having autistic spectrum disorders is increasing.12 Studies investigating this phenomenon have concluded that several factors account for the increase—for example, changing conceptualisation to a spectrum rather than a core categorical condition; changes in diagnostic methods; and the inclusion of children with disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, Tourette's syndrome, or tuberous sclerosis as also having autistic spectrum disorder.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16585296

The average administrative prevalence of autism among children increased from 0.6 to 3.1 per 1000 from 1994 to 2003. By 2003, only 17 states had a special education prevalence of autism that was within the range of recent epidemiological estimates. During the same period, the prevalence of mental retardation and learning disabilities declined by 2.8 and 8.3 per 1000, respectively. Higher autism prevalence was significantly associated with corresponding declines in the prevalence of mental retardation and learning disabilities.
Autism / ASD didn't suddenly emerge worldwide. We just didn't used to use the terms "autism" or "ASD". Until quite recently, we used terms like "mental retardation" or "learning disabilities" with reference to people who would now be diagnosed as having "ASD". And before "mental retardation" or "learning disabilities" there would have been other terms used to describe what is now referred to as "ASD".

Indeed. Perhaps Clay would like to explain the decrease in mental retardation and learning disabilities diagnoses with the concurrent rise in ASD diagnoses. Other little details that Clay likes to ignore or is just plain ignorant of are the changes in disabilities laws and closures of institutions that have made autists much more visable. Add to that a large increase in ASD prevalence is due to "higher functioning" autists being diagnosed. People that would have been overlooked as "odd", "quirky" and "nerdy" in the near past.

What a waggery. I'm old and sagacious enough to remember when there was NO special education in schools. Mainly because there was no NEED for it. There wasn't a plethora of children who suddenly became unable to "communicate" between the ages of 1 1/2 and 2. A "retarded person" was a "curiosity." As a child you were sternly told not to stare. It was an extremely rare instruction.

Sadly, people who lie about the reality of the obvious danger of vaccines are likely to get their comeuppance.
