The crucifixion of Jesus Christ

First things first.
I've just cast barrels of mead into the sea for all those who deserve them.
You know who you are.

PeaceCrusader;8690162...I say “must have visited some relatives”. This is my opinion. We were not able to ask Ama what the purpose of Simon of Cyrene in the country was. What do you think? Did you know that the spirit of Simon of Cyrene is now residing in a 63-year-old man said:
That's a most remarkable story, PC.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

Yes, pakeha, Jesus was scourged 5,455 times. This number was mentioned in several sessions. That is why from His prison at the fort to the crucifixion site was only about three kilometers far, yet it took them three days to reach it, aided on the last day by Simon of Cyrene.

PC, this figure was mentioned during a seance and I have the impression it has no relation to reality whatsoever.
In fact, nothing which you've posted of those seances has anything but elements of crass story-telling.
The fake Egyptian princess' tragic wedding-day comes to mind.
St Evangeline's communications, too.
And Angelina Imden, the heiress to the non-existent Helene Curtis fortune.
The golem adopted by Tiberius.
The nails floating to Paris.

And now your calendar.

Why is Passover associated with the Spring Equinox?
What chance is there the Islamic world would adopt your calendar?

Do you have any idea just how utterly ridiculous that 5,455 number is?

You obviously understand nothing about the Roman practice of scourging. We're not talking pats on the back here: we're talking about a whip, quite possibly one with three or four tails on it, and bits of broken glass or bone in the ends designed to cut the skin. That would lead to a small amount of blood loss with every stroke.

While it appears the Jews stopped at 39 lashes (40 was the limit but they stopped at 39 in case of a miscount) the Romans had no limit. But still ... 5,455 lashes of scourging whip would certainly kill, and probably well before 500 or even 250. At 5,000 all you'd be doing is beating a pulpy mass into an even more pulpy mass.

(I wonder if PeaceCrusader has me on ignore. He's never even mentioned my posts about a 6' 7" man really standing out in a crowd, making it unnecessary for Judas to point him out to the group of arresting soldiers.)

If you're persistent enough you'll eventually see a 'response' underneath a quote of one of your posts, but it won't actually address any points you may have raised or questions you might have asked. The best you can hope for is something like "Did you know that Jesus had a birthmark in the shape of a flamingo on the tip of his nose? I investigated this since 1991 and it is logically correct. You choose what will be good for you and discard what is evil. "

In other words, it's not you but reality which PC has on ignore.

That's interesting information, PC.
This is something you picked up in one of the seances?

Simon of Cyrene visited some relatives in the country?

Jesus was scourged 5,455 times?

Scourging was no worse than a mild sunburn. (DOC)

@pakeha, #232

I am sharing to you what I have heard and learned from the spirit of Ama and what is in the Holy Bible or in “Pasiong Mahal”. You may believe these or not. You make the decision. For me, the revelations are logically correct. You choose what will be good for you and discard what is evil if any.

I say “must have visited some relatives”. This is my opinion. We were not able to ask Ama what the purpose of Simon of Cyrene in the country was. What do you think? Did you know that the spirit of Simon of Cyrene is now residing in a 63-year-old man, according to Ama? That means that the spirit that resided in Simon of Cyrene is presently residing in one of His listeners. I know who he is. He looks like a 40-year-old fellow who his friends and colleagues cannot believe that he is 63 already.

5,455 / 72 = 75 scourgings per hour.

Makes "The Passion of the Christ" look tame.

You are correct, Astreja. Cyrene was Libya. So Simon was from Cyrene who went to Jerusalem for a pilgrimage ...

Aristeo, I took the liberty of doing a quick web search on Simon, and most of the accounts that I found suggest that Simon had come to town to celebrate Passover... Yes, the very same Passover that you claim had already come and gone by the time the Romans executed Jesus.

Did you know that because He was scourged 5,455 times..

Aristeo, this is absolutely ridiculous. A man capable of surviving 5,455 lashes would not have died after a mere 3 hours hanging on a cross.

I don't know what to say to you any more, Aristeo. You preach garbage mythology based on the ramblings of a discredited woman who's pretending to represent a god that probably doesn't even exist. I can't even begin to fathom what My life might be like if I were somehow forced to change places with you. How can you be so oblivious to the absurdities and contradictions in the stories you've been telling us?

And how can you be puzzled about your calendar not being adopted, and upset about a nuclear war not taking place, yet continue to believe and propagate the words of the woman who obviously lied to you about both the calendar and the war?

I don't get it. I really, really don't get it. Do you actually believe that the wild fairy tales you've been telling us have any traction whatsoever in the real world? You are creating a horrific legacy for yourself, a patchwork quilt of silly stories that get more and more unbelievable every time you tell them.

If your objective was to get us to believe, Aristeo, you have failed.

I can't make you see the truth about Ka Apaz and Ama, but I can wish. My wish, therefore, is that the truth become obvious to you, whether you want to see it or not.

(The muscles in Springy G's shoulders start to relax) I'm going to go for a little walk now, get away from this thread for a little while. I may be back, but don't wait up.

@Blue Mountain, #242

Yes, Blue Mountain, 5,455 lashes is “utterly ridiculous” but that is what I heard in several sessions and I am sharing this info to you. Jesus was whipped this number of times before He was crucified. I myself could not believe that He could withstand the scourging at the pillar unless He is God. And Jesus received it without uttering a word.

Some of the files which has the number 5,455 or the equivalent words “limang libo, apat na raan, limampu’t lima” are:
http://aristean.org/transcript095.htm
http://aristean.org/transcript129.htm
http://aristean.org/transcript148.htm
http://aristean.org/transcript190.htm

Thanks for telling us that the limit of lashes for a Jew was 40 and for a Roman was without limit.

Jesus must have angered the Pharisees very much to receive this kind of punishment. And maybe, because Jesus was a big person, 6’8” tall, not 6’7” as you said.

Prior to the crucifixion, Jesus was arrested at the Garden of Gethsemane betrayed by Judas with a kiss. In Matthew 26:48-49, it states: “Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he, hold him fast. And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.” (also in Mark 14:44-45) From Wikipedia, this is what it says about “Kiss”: “In Judaism, the kissing of prayer books such as the Torah, along with kissing prayer shawls, is also common.” Judas must have kissed the shawl of Jesus since he considered him as his master or Rabbi.

Did you know that there were pre-bore holes in the cross to drive to nails in? Unlike now where you may drive a nail through the wood, before, there must be pre-bore holes where nails had to be driven into, especially if they were thick. That is why the cross had to be turned over to bent the nails to make them secure.

Also, the cross had no joint. It was all in one piece. On page 138 of “Pasiong Mahal”, its length was 15 feet long and 7 feet across.

This came from http://aristean.org/g11b-pah3.mp3 (audio file in Filipino) wherein the punishment of Gumamela Celis (The Blessed Virgin Mary) while in Heaven was that she would become the mother of the son to save the world. Given to her were three seeds that she planted many, many years before she was conceived by an infertile woman named Saint Anne and her impotent father San Joaquin.

Thanks for the reply. It's certainly possible that a god could survive such an intense scourging.

This brings us to "with God all things are possible," which sounds great on the surface but fails close examination. The most trenchant criticism is that this god for whom all things are possible seems to be awfully coy about proving this when put to the test. What I mean is that I can claim, for example, that for my fluffy little teddy bear (name of "Maluay", looks curiously like a happy dog with large rabbit-like ears) all things are possible. But when I ask Maluay to help me with financial issues, improve the weather, save people from earthquakes, save Canada from Stephen Harper, cure my mother's dementia, etc, so far he has done nothing that I can see to help with those things.

When I ask the Christian god to help me with financial issues, improve the weather, save people from earthquakes, save Canada from Stephen Harper, cure my mother's dementia, etc, so far he has done nothing that I can see to help with those things. Basically, I see absolutely no difference in the outcome when I ask a teddy bear for assistance and when I ask your god for assistance.

Is your god no more powerful than a stuffed animal?

As a skeptic I have very little reason to believe the words of a medium. Especially one with such a poor track record as Ka Apaz.

So the Jews were angry at Jesus because he was tall?

All those words add up to nothing. The average height of people at that time may have been about 5½ feet. Maybe only 5 feet. A 6' 8" man would be unmistakable. So why did Judas have to show the arresting guard who Jesus was?

According to the story I heard they used screws. I have researched this and found it to be logically correct.

Your theory about bent nails is evil and you must reject it.

Also, the cross had no joint. It was all in one piece. On page 138 of “Pasiong Mahal”, its length was 15 feet long and 7 feet across.

On the 35th sheet of the new toilet roll that I just opened it says that there were no large enough trees within hundreds of miles of Jerusalem with which to fashion a cross of this nature, and even if there were, the Romans would never be daft enough to waste valuable resources in this way when simply nailing a victim to the nearest tree was just as effective.

I have researched this and found it to be logically correct.

No that was Isis. These silly ideas have obviously been placed in your mind by the wicked Set, and you must discard them as they are evil, retaining only the story of Isis, Osiris and Horus, which is good for you.

Given to her were three seeds that she planted many, many years before she was conceived by an infertile woman named Saint Anne and her impotent father San Joaquin.

Because infertile women and their impotent fathers are always giving birth to bouncing baby BVMs.

Pre-bore holes?
The cross was one piece?
The punishment of the BVM?

PC, just out of curiosity- did anyone ever burst out laughing at the things that were communicated in those seances?

PC, just read what you yourself have written here. You admit that this (like so much else that this woman told you, including specific prophesies that have failed to materialise) was "utterly ridiculous". There is only one logical conclusion that can be drawn from this fact. Please draw it, forget this absurd woman, and find something more worthwhile to do with your time than continually regurgitating her thoroughly discredited drivel on this thread.

...Also, the cross had no joint. It was all in one piece. On page 138 of “Pasiong Mahal”, its length was 15 feet long and 7 feet across...

Where do you propose the Romans obtained a single piece of wood 15 feet by 7 feet, and why would they bother to make a cross that way when they had no shortage of adept carpenters who could knock one together from two baulks of timber?

Just to remind you: Ka Apaz has demonstrably fed you duff information more than once, so cannot be trusted. Don't forget.

PC, just out of curiosity- did anyone ever burst out laughing at the things that were communicated in those seances?

I'd be surprised if it wasn't 'Ka Apaz' who had trouble keeping a straight face. I'm still working on the assumption that all these wild notions are PC's own ideas, and he just fed them to the oracle for confirmation. If it were the other way round, he would have long since realised he'd been taken in. The persistent lack of a 'Doh!' <facepalm> from PC is very telling. He's entirely wedded to these daft ideas.

So you think that because Jesus was God, he was able to perform superhuman physical feats that would be impossible for mere mortals? I think you'll find that's a heresy, most likely Docetism.

Sorry, she planted seeds many years before she was conceived?

(This was the only point in this post that was not addressed before, I just had to.)
