Homo erectus evolved outside of Africa

Evolution of the races? Are you suggesting different pre-homo sapien ancestors for different human populations?

Homo erectus evolved outside of Africa.

It appears the evolutionary process of humanity was well underway outside of Africa which supports the Multiregional theory of evolution of the races.

You really didn't read the article did you

Ferring and his colleagues propose that some ancestors of H. erectus might have travelled to Asia and possibly Europe, done a bit of evolving, then wandered back to Africa.

It’s my understanding different versions of Homo erectus evolved in Europe, Asia, and Africa leading to the three different races.

Then why do you assume evolution stopped in Asia and Europe but continued in Africa?

I would argue against that - these findings simply point to a much earlier migration that we thought

Races, as in races of homo sapiens?:boggled:

Genetics of the human race ties us all to African ancestors regardless of other homo species evolving outside Africa.

Are there Homo erectus findings in Africa which are earlier than those found in Georgia?

He's trying.

Which one evolved into the failed Master Race?

Suddenly, Asiatic H. erectus was about as old as African H. ergaster. These new dates lead to speculation that an earlier species of Homo, perhaps H. habilis, left Africa some two million years ago bound for Asia. In Asia H. habilis evolved into H. erectus.

So now out-of-Afirca theory applies only to Homo habilis.

Another nail in the coffin for the out-of-Africa theory explaining the appearance of modern humans.

Pretty certainly all human beings presently alive, ie the "modern" human beings, evolved from the African version of Homo erectus, and spread from Africa across the rest of the world quite recently, replacing the descendants of Homo erectus previously living in Eurasia. For example, following the incursion of modern humans into Europe and Western Asia, the local human type, Neanderthal people, disappeared.

Of all the continents, Africa has by far the greatest genetic variation in its human population. Much more than the rest of the world put together. This can best (or only) be explained on the assumption that the rest of the world is populated by a subset of the original African population.

It's interesting to see racists like yourself making such crude misuse of the multi regional theory, which in itself is not a racist theory, any more than the idea that Europeans made their way into the Americas at an early date is in itself racist. These perversions of scientific hypotheses, like the pseudo-sciences embraced by the Nazis, have a rather disgusting quality.

The evidence that those remains are H.Erectus are far from conclusive.

Neither do fossil skulls previously retrieved from later sediments at the site help to resolve the controversy. These fossils, dating from 1.77 million years ago, had brains between 600 and 775 cubic centimetres in volume, whereas H. erectus is generally thought to have had an average brain size of around 900 cubic centimetres.

It's also possible that there were an early tool-using offshoot that died out.

Or perhaps, given the smaller brain size, they evolved into racists.

From the same article
If this interpretation is correct, the traditional view that the australopithecines evolved into early species of Australopithecus and ultimately H. erectus in Africa may only be partially true. There may have been a back-and-forth series of migrations of the genus Australopithecus between Africa and Asia.

So you may be part Asian and part African.

Several posts have been moved to AAH for being both off topic and uncivil. Please remember that the motivation of any individual poster is not an appropriate topic of conversation. Motivation is, in any case, irrelevant. A statement is either right or wrong; its truth value does not depend on who speaks it.

If Homo erectus first evolved in Asia and not Africa it would stand to reason the first modern man appeared in Asia. There would have been a greater population of Homo erectus in Asia for the next step of evolution to have occurred.
