Truth Movement Recap, Year 2007

Brainster:
I have yet to meet a truther in person (lucky me) or see so much as a poster, but I do know several people that like to lurk and laugh at the CTers. It's almost like a national inquirer of sorts. I would myself love to know how many actual warm bodies there are but I suspect the numbers are relatively small. Atleast the hardcore (active) ones.

I don't think a large percentage of the people visiting 9-11 Blogger are debunkers or lurkers/laughers. However, I do agree that the really active Deniers are not a substantial number. Webster Tarpley said a month or so ago that there are 25,000 9-11 activists, at most, and I think that's a generous estimate. The local group doesn't amount to more than 10 or so in a city of four million, and they are very inactive at present.

2007: Mark Dice says he's packing it in.

He's not selling enough books and dvds; his truck needs new brakes; his computer is on its last legs; he isn't getting enough support from the twoof movement; his day job isn't going very well; he can't afford to pay for the next batch of his "manifesto"; and he's missing church.

*Sniff*

I find this hilarious!! ( "our job is not done") LOL

What are you afraid of? - If they are wrong or deluded , so what ?

In your daily life, do you make a habit of telling anyone you see how ugly/fat/ weird/stupid/wrong they are?

If the 'truthers' are mistaken, they will be seen for what they are, and ignored, no?

Maybe you are afraid people will not see the truth without your help?

Reminds me of something else...

LOL to you, my friend. It's always good to have opposing powers. If there were no debunkers, all we would see would be Loose Change, 9/11 Mysteries and a couple of government reports. I think debunkers have a role in all this. Otherwise stupid lies would go on and on unchecked and take a life of their own. At least now, people can see if there is another explanation to all these 'CT coincidences and anomalies'. I'm sorry, if you don't understand my point.

Fringe GOP Candidate Ron Paul decided that the Truthers are too fringe even for him.
Though If Paul, when he fails to get the GOP nod ,decides to go the Indepdent candidate route look for a reconciliation.

I figure this is a good place to start the "truther" accomplishment overview.

For those that have not be on this ride all along, hold on and see what you missed. :D

What are the 'rules'???

Do we list the main failings of the truth movement? Listing what they tried to achieve but failed should be a lot more productive than the list of actual achievements which would, by its nature, be either of zero length or an extensive list of negatives.

e.g.
A failing such as "claimed that the WTC Towers were attacked by Controlled Demolition but never produced a single coherent hypothesis forming a 'prima facie case to answer' as to how CD was achieved."

(Note: Given the logical problem of 'cannot prove a negative' that failure must be as close to proving the falsity of the CD claim as we should reasonably expect. Self debunking ;) )

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

However, I think this thread from 2009 is a better overview:

9/11 Truth: Now or Never? A Look Through Nine Years of TM Claims, Releases and Media

Note that "9/11 Truth: Now or Never" was the title of the main truth movement event in September 2008.

What are the 'rules'???

No rules. I just figured I'd bump a few threads to hi-lite their accomplishments (and for giggles). :)

I think Senator Gravel is symbolic of the current state of the Truth Movement's accomplishments.

I agree. Funny thing is, he ripped them off and some "truthers" still believe he supports them. :p

This is a good place to start..

Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

They're all good.

I'm not doing this as an organised project (I'm thinking very little about it). Strange thing, I would actually bump a thread that did hi-lite an accomplishment, if I could find one.

Maybe I'll look for Greg Uhrich's (sp) thread on the towers mass, that was good work.

BCR's work on the flight paths was also an accomplishment (he is a "truthers=" after all).
