I don't deny for a minute that Obama is a smart guy (but very stupid when it comes to education policy). Clarence Thomas has a law degree from Yale, what does that say about an ivy league education? I also graduated from a top school (NYU) and I'm not at all the sharpest knife in the draw. Hmmm, could it be my parents had a lot of money?

What makes you think Clarence Thomas isn't intelligent (i.e. book smart)? And sure some less then intelligent students get into ivy league schools by way of rich parents or seniority but generally speakings dunces don't receive ivy league educations and certainly don't graduate.

A Poli Sci major does, though. You'd have to spit in the prof's face or defend Republicans to get less than a B.

Evidence of this? I've never seen him use a teleprompter, and the one specific instance I've head him accused of using it, it would seem he wasn't. Saying 'uh' every few words is merely poor public speaking, TONS of Americans do it. It can't always be trained away.

Obama, like most politicians, uses a teleprompter during prepared speeches. His predecessors used them too. Its use says about as much about Obama as his eating food when he's hungry does.

Claims of sexual demands for grades. Hyperbole, perhaps...metaphor...??. Just like all the claims about Obama's inadequacies. Most people with a modicum of experience and/or education, even street smarts, can tell when someone is above average in their skills as a public speaker and motivator.

It was obvious that Clinton and Reagan had the gifts that George W. and Romney do not. I don't think too many Obama fans are taking anyone very seriously who does not recognize this ability in Obama. This is why all the "rage, hate, anger" stuff that Romney is spewing about Obama just does not ring true at all. It actually sounds sort of puerile, and misinformed.

Given the insipid economic/political philosophy of the President, as he's explained it so far, and his problems with expressing himself without his teleprompter, it's reasonable to question his one selling point, his supposed intellect. Why not?

The President's economic and political philosophy are entirely correct and will be vindicated by history.

That you choose to keep your head in the sand and believe him to be wrong and then use that as evidence that he must have gotten his accolades because of "favoritism" only serves as a condemnation of you.
