Yes, I think as long as you persist with these bizarre denials, you'll find your "lay person opinion" more and more out of step with reality.
Writ of prohibition to appeal Lester's order on recusal.
That they are taking it this far makes me wonder if they want to make a move for an SYG hearing. And with the bias Lester has shown, they know they need to get the SYG in front of someone else to have a chance.Writ of prohibition to appeal Lester's order on recusal.

I don't think you understand how this works. If the authorities don't support prosecuting Zimmerman they are racists. If they support prosecuting Zimmerman or make anti-Zimmerman statements they become "learned experts" who should not be questioned. It appears MOM doesn't think that Judge should have arrived at some of the conclusions he did in the bond order. But I am suffering from bizarre denials.![]()
Thanks for the link, I was not aware they had made such an announcement.http://gzlegalcase.com/index.php/pr...r-ground-hearing-in-the-george-zimmerman-case
Now that the State has released the majority of their discovery, the defense asserts that there is clear support for a strong claim of self-defense. Consistent with this claim of self-defense, there will be a “Stand Your Ground” hearing.
You think they may go for SYG ?![]()
On July 13, the defense team filed a Verified Motion to Disqualify Trial Judge. Judge Lester responded on August 1 by issuing an Order Dismissing Defendant's Verified Motion to Disqualify Trial Judge on the basis that it was legally insufficient. Today the defense team will file a Petition for Writ of Prohibition with the 5th District Court of Appeal.
It appears MOM doesn't think that Judge should have arrived at some of the conclusions he did in the bond order. But I am suffering from bizarre denials.![]()

In his latest blog post Saturday, Leatherman must have been really digging for something to post, because this is what he came up with:
That led me to think that someone was in the truck ... If I’m right, the police have the phone records, they know who the second person was and this would be one of the facts that they probably would withhold until the last possible moment for maximum strategic value.
Now whom might that person have been?
I’ll hazard a guess that, if it was not Frank Taffee, ... it was the first person who arrived at the crime scene carrying a flashlight and a cell phone with which he took a photo of the back of GZ’s head.
Yup, he's right on par with Jeralyn at talk left...![]()
OOps. Guess I was right.Keep it marked.
Until a date is set, it is meaningless.
OOps. Guess I was right.
Heh.
Silly man.Yes, when the attorney writes "there will be a “Stand Your Ground” hearing." and announces at a press conference he intends to file a for an immunity hearing, what it actually means is you were right, and we can bank on it not happening.(Note: there are not nearly enough eye rolls here...)
That was a joke, right?MOM also reiterated that Zimmerman will move for a Lay Your Ground immunity hearing and the expected timeframe is around five months.
O'Mara already expressed this view in a motion that was dismissed, so I'm not sure what you think him reiterating it proves. We'll just have to wait and see how this writ fares.
Have you figured out if Zimmerman's wife committed perjury yet? I know when all you have to go on is her on record making completely contradictory statements it can be a real head-scratcher.
Too bad everything about this case isn't as easy to discern as Martin's criminal history. Because you were able to come to a conclusion on that issue almost immediately.
Silly man.It was me who told you you could bank on it not happening.
"The attorney for the man who shot and killed unarmed Florida teenager Trayvon Martin said Monday he'll seek to get the case dismissed using a traditional self-defense argument and not the state's "stand your ground" statute.
Mark O'Mara, who is defending George Zimmerman against a second-degree murder charge in the fatal February shooting, said the traditional self-defense approach is appropriate because the facts suggest his client couldn't retreat from a beating Martin was giving him.
Zimmerman's attorneys had said last week that they would use Florida's controverial "stand your ground" law, which allows people to use deadly force -- rather than retreat -- if they believe their lives are in danger.
"The facts don't seem to support a `stand your ground' defense," O'Mara said."

Shoots that premise of yours all to hell, donut?
ANyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyone who heard her testimony under oath and saw the jailhouse transcripts knew she was guilty....
No, I have note determined if she committed perjury. Have you already determined that she is guilty ? I think they are planning to have a court case so the state can attempt to prove she committed perjury. I understand it requires more than contradictory statements, but since it appears you already know she's guilty, maybe you can explain it to us ?
....
No. It's. not.ROTLFMAO.
Here comes the denial. The immunity hearing is the same whether you call it self defense or SYG. But you go ahead and start working on the backpedaling. We all know what you said and meant.

Can he refuse to testify at an immunity hearing? Sure. How much weight do you think the same judge who was duped by a "potted palm" primrose-path style will give that refusal?
I've predicted long ago there will be no immunity hearing. I'll repeat what I said then: Mark it. Not gonnah happen.

A traditional self-defense trial does NOT carry the immunity of the SYG defense - and you know it.

Live with it.
