Youtube is important because it is a market. If the ideas are no good, no one watches them.
You got it in one. The ideas. Not facts. There are ideas that appeal to a multitude of folks, although they may not be true.

It's very easy. Crazy likes what crazy likes, and will quite happily watch again and again. There are also those who will watch a few minutes before realising that there is probably something better to watch. It's still a hit. Then there are the debunkers. Their viewing still counts.
