Cancer healed by the holy light from the scripture ?

The answer to the question is no. How could an old book of fiction cure cancer?

This seems to be a different kind of faith healing case from India. I find it hard to believe. [snip]

What you guys think ?

How gullible are you? What reason do you have to consider for longer than an instant that this might be a credible claim? The answer is "it's baloney".

Spontaneous remission is extremely rare in cancer patients but it has happened before...
...of course it could just be the nearly 4 years of chemo the guy went through, but I guess the quick answer is God. ;)

A quick google search says there's not much in the way of doctor-patient confidentiality in India, so if this was real, there would likely be some of his doctors chiming in somewhere down the line, right? Nobody seems to have asked any of his doctors anything. Smells like a pile of woo to me.

He says he has the photographs w/ negatives of the white light entering his body which rose from the holy sikh scripture book during a sikh prayer session which has cured his cancer during his visit to Golden temple in India. He described it as spiritual experience. He is sharing his story all over the sikh temples in India and advising sikh followers to follow the sikh scriptures, recite the hymns from the scripture and have guru's faith. If you search his name on youtube you can find his videos in Hindi describing the incident.

Sounds like a sick Sikh to me.........

How many chicks could a sick Sikh trick if a sick Sikh tricked nurse chicks?

I don't know.

He believes if he shows the photos publicly they will be commercially misused. He thinks the holy light in the photo would be used by an candle maker Industries to sell you a candle which gives you similar holy light, he literally said that in the video. He says my guru is not for commercial use.

I don't know about the mundane light. But as he says - The light rose from the middle of the holy sikh book and entered through his fingers and cured the cancer while he was listening to the "kirtan" done by sikh clergy at the Golden temple.

I found another link, just read the first post - "Miracle of Guruvani"

Some videos if you can understand the hindi language

But can he give the medical records? Before AND after the supposed "cure"? Can we get independent testimony from the doctors? Etc.

oh I found the medical report here. I also see other sikh guys and women listed there as healed.

Can a moderator enable "hyperlink" feature to my account ?

It's entirely anecdotal. All reports of "miracles", by all religions, are either anecdotal, or, when some "evidence" appears that can be independently tested, turns out to in fact not support the claim of miracle.

You can't do much on anecdote.

If you want to substantiate this case you'll need the before AND after medical reports.
Hmmm.

Still, my comments stand, hopkinsworld.

If he really believes that then he is as mad as a hatter. I think it's just some kind of scam.

Maybe the holy light was ionizing radiation?

I don't scammers. I really don't like medical scammers. I reserve a special hatred in my heart for people who scam or attempt to scam cancer patients.

Well the body is a temple, after all... Is it okay to cut the steeple off a church? ;)

And why does god smite steeples with lighting? He's always at it. He's a pyromaniac, to add to his long list of faults.

:D I saw an article a while ago that a door-to-door Bible salesman down here in FL got hit by lightning.

God works in mysterious ways. :D
