I nominate this post for a Stundie:
It's not the nomination, but the winning that counts.
Go me!
I nominate this post for a Stundie:
Ex MLB pitcher and WND columnist John Rocker explaining the meaning of the first amendment.

More proof that steroid use causes brain damage.
Wait, so this guy thinks that we're not allowed to disagree with each other or debate? I'm confused.......

Dumb Canuck that I am, I thought it was the right to speak one's mind and not be prosecuted by the gov't for doing so.
Scorn and ridicule from other citizens afaik, was never addressed given that such scorn or ridicule would be included in the right to free speech.
But wadda I know, I don't live there!
Freedom of Speech means you can say (with a very few exceptions) what you want and be free from the threat of Government prosecution;it does not mean what you say is free from consequences.
You have a perfect right under the First Admendment to go into your bosses's office and call him a dumb SOB to his face, but that will not protect you from being fired.
No errors.
Anything I've said in this thread is an opinion.
The bridge starts with Life Repair and progresses through twenty steps to clear. The courses give over half the gains.
If you don't know for certain that the Emeter works, then discussing even the first step - Life Repair - is folly. Discussing OT is absurd.
Every Scientologist knows with 100% certainty that the Emeter works in the application for which it was designed.
That's 100% certainty! There's no room for other opinions. Scientologists have a solid belief that the Emeter works.
If you don't believe in the Emeter, get a demonstration in Scientology.
A prerequsite for these discussions is a belief that the Emeter works. If you don't believe that the Emeter works, you won't believe in anything else, so why argue?
Arguing Scientology with a person that doesn't believe that the Emeter works is like arguing a newspaper article with someone that doesn't believe that people can read.
It would be insane to discuss Scientology with anybody that doesn't believe that the emeter works.
It only takes moments for the Church of Scientology to give you a demonstration of the Emeter and an hour for an Introductory session. It is insane to discuss the emeter to anyone that won't avail himself of those opportunities. A demonstration is worth a thousand words to each person that wants to know.
From an thread on Scientology - One must first be a believer in something in order to properly evaluate research and facts about it.

You know, that's the best part. If it were trying to be even slightly realistic you'd think they'd have electrodes attached to your scalp to monitor the various regions of your brain. Holding a "can" in each hand to make an analog monitor needle swing up or down is pretty much a party trick.Yeah but who doesn't believe that skin conductivity sensors work?![]()

No to almost all the above responses to the OP. A dictatorship could easily arise as the result of dire circumstances. Two books that come to mind regarding this happening in England are "V for Vendetta", and "Children of Men", both of which were made into movies.
The Emeter does work. Just as a baby knows that gravity works when he drops things on the floor from his highchair and squeals with delight as he watches gravity pull the object towards the floor. The baby does not need to read a scientific explaination of gravity or know that v=at. The baby just knows that gravity pulls things towards the floor.
mhaze uses a couple of novels about things that have never happened in real life to support his case that a dictatorship could occur. But they were made into movies!
