Yo! Here be the August Stundie nom thread

One of my Stundie noms

A non sequitur, it is not because something is not challenged that it is true. An inconsequential post with inconsequential in it. A true beauty of a matrushka.

You're not very good that this, are you?

It's even better when you look at the whole context of that nominated post:

 The smug condescension oozes from your post. Serious question: what makes you think it is easy?

This is getting hilariouser and hilariouser.

I too am vacillating between a brilliant Poe and the Real Thing.

Especially if you spell it like that. Ha ha.

Note the lack of a real answer. Attempt at humor (fail) to divert.

Note the lack of challenge for the 'inconsequential' part of 'easy and inconsequential'.

So, the post by timhau that he nominated for a Stundie was just timhau echoing back his own phraseology.

What really tickled me recently was one of the Holocaust deniers obsession with bulldozers, that was tragicomedy of the first order.

Feel free to come up with a conspiracy of your own making, present some credible arguments pro and try to make it in a pleasantly readable form.

When has any conspiracy theorist ever managed that?

A Stundie nomination from within the Stundie nomination thread?!?

Is that some sort of record?

I am torn between an "Inception" joke and an Xzibit joke.

I'm guessing more JREFers understand the Inception reference than the Pimp-My-Ride reference.

We are in recursive stundie territory.

I'm not sure if the irony is funnier, or the ignorance.

Where's my popcorn?

The funny thing is, I've seen more hours of Pimp My Ride than Inception. :D

to give Simon his due credit, blogging is the least he could do
Not really. He could just think about blogging.
Yes, but that *does* require thinking.

Actually *blogging* in many cases, not so much.

Just to drive my own last nail into the coffin of this subject: It was funny how he tried to turn around the whole "create a blog" issue. The crux of the joke wasn't whether someone had the will and desire to start any sort of blog about conspiracy fantasies, and no offense to Dave Rogers but it wasn't even that he outright admitted the notion of making things completely up (although that was damn funny, and worthy of its own legend of truther cluelessness itself). It was that in the face of one of the supposedly most massive and widespread historical frauds in history, his contribution to fighting it would've been nothing more than a damn blog.

How heroic.

At least Paul Revere rode a horse to spread the word about the British coming. If we want to talk about information brokers, at least Thomas Paine also helped fund the American revolution. These truthers are not even a pale shadow of the revolutionaries of the past.

Anyway, I'm done with the topic. It's provided the lulz, there's nothing more to take from it.

It wont be truly beautiful until we get a nom from the stundie voting thread.

That was to be my point but TSR reminded me that there was something less that he could 'do'.

However, before anyone says that the least he could do is do nothing, I would contend that the act of 'doing' anything excludes the null set.
:D
