What is worse is that a paper copy wouldn't work for them either, because long ago the goal posts were shifted to wanting the original microfiche copy. The entire role to be exact so that they can cross check everyone else on the role and harass them as well. Basically they want to State of Hawaii to violate a lot of people's medical privacy.

Nope, we don't want Obamas latest colonoscopy like Reagan's in the middle of a Texas Oklahoma Bowl game. We just want to see a copy of something we are regularly asked to produce.

I say again, the State of Hawaii bears no reponsibility of the online birth certificate. They don't recognize it at all.

Okay, let's grant that your statement above is 100% true.

The state of HI bears no responsibility for *any* public availability of any personal records, nor by law can they make such records public. Nor do they bear any responsibility for the fact that HI is considered an island in the middle of the Pacific.

They can, and have certified that they have, supplied that record to the agent of the only person who by law is entitled to have such a record. That person has made that record publicly available.

So now what?

And that copy is available to all who care to click a link, even though you have never, not once, ever been asked to make your own copy publicly available. Nor has anyone else.

Is this going somewhere any time soon?

They aren't "responsible" for it in the sense that the copies left their control once they were physically handed over to the President's lawyer. But they're still responsible for verifying that the information on those copies is and remains accurate.

Which they've done.

Twice.

They don't recognize it at all.

They certainly do recognize it. They link directly to the scanned copy from their department of health's own website, and the state registrar has twice sent official verification that the information on that scanned copy is correct. The second time was even entered into evidence in court!

We just want to see a copy of something we are regularly asked to produce.

And you've seen it. Case closed.

Except that they do... by linking to it. Do you honestly believe that they would willfully link to it otherwise?

Really? Where? Where does the state of Hawaii "willfully link" to the online certificate? That'll get the birthers going though you know.

That would be here, as was linked to a few posts up.

Shall we jump on your chest to start you breathing, too?

I am not the president. You should be ashamed to even correlate me with a man of of such high regard. I'm a regular ctizen that would be held in jail until I produced proof of my citizenry. No one seems to care if I got a birth certificate. But I'd be glad to post it here and now if it would satisfy you.

I am not the president.
And? What law or custom related to the birth certificate makes him any different than you?

Under what law would this occur?
No one seems to care if I got a birth certificate.
Nor should they. Just like Obama

Only if it meets your own ridiculous standard as being officially recognized by the state of your birth.

Can I walk into a US government agency with an internet address as a form of id?

So I guess the U.S. Congress will now have to pass a bill, demanding that Hawaii print up ~300 <redacted> million certified copies of whatever freaking version of the birth certificate the birthers deem...at the moment...the "real deal", and then mail them out to all U.S. citizens...at which time the birthers will again move the goalposts!:)

Sounds like a plan to me!:D

No.

But you know what?

They won't ask for a birth certificate, either*.

* except where it is enshrined in law, such as getting a passport. You know what you explicitly do not need it for?

ANYTHING ELSE, INCLUDING A RUN FOR THE WHITE HOUSE.

So once again: have you a point other than that you haven't the first clue what you are whining about?

Maybe they can make the original microfilm part of a traveling exhibit, like King Tut!

Now since I was a young man, ever since I'm born
Never thought they'd stand in line to see my long form
(Birth Cert)

How'd you Photoshop it?
(Shop'd Cert)
'fore you pasted did you cop it?

Born in Honolulu, and I learned to do the hulu, Birth Cert.
(Birth Cert)

Now, if I'd known they'd line up just to see it
(Funky Cert)
I'd take all of them layers and then I'd prolly link it
(Birth Cert)
