This is Retreat View Circle - the inner streets are the same, but don't have sidewalks either.

The only illumination is the lights by each carhole door, which illuminate the house number.

No. There are street lights. Not many and they are very tall, taller than the apartments, probably ment for decoration more than for providing light. They can be seen in the Google maps view of the neighborhood and in the street view looking in from both entrances.

The only way George is going to get a street name is to walk or drive all the way back to the intersection of Twin Trees and Retreat View Circle. But that would mean the ******* would get away, so he's not going to do that.

Actually, he could simply drive forward to the south end of Twin Tree Lane where we can plainly see there is a street sign at the intersection (have you noticed how common it is to find street signs at intersections?) This would allow him to keep an eye on the back entrance so he could tell the cops if the ******* got away or not while giving them his exact location and best of all, he can stay safely seated in his truck.

What on earth makes you think his story is he was scared when he was at the T?

I believe in one of his statements Z says he was scared before even getting out of the truck. I seem to remember him saying something about being scared at another point as well. If you really dispute this I'm sure we can find the source.

The street sign, yes, that probably was in the back of his mind, and evolved as an excuse to take a look around. But that is my conjecture, and I can't prove it, I'm not in GZ head (thankfully.)

That is exactly why I said you were one of the ones trying to be logical. Certain people, OTOH, it seems are 100% behind Z's "street name story".

It's in the Serino audio from the 29th. The one where he starts to pick apart the story and times the 84 seconds. He asks why George wasn't walking back by that point and George says it was because his flashlight wasn't working (again, they found a flashlight that was working) and that he was scared because it was dark back there.

I meant it's huge as in it's a huge piece of news. I think it goes without saying that you'd read it as "desperate" no matter what .

Why do you keep saying this. You repeatedly bring that up. Z is accused of 2nd Degree murder, not 1st.... No "planning" accusations have been made by the state.

When he is trying to give the directions, after he gets out of the truck and he sounds all distracted; I said months ago that it sounds exactly like when someone is hitting a flashlight (have you ever had that issue with the flashlight when you turn it on but when you put it out in front of you, it turns off again?). In fairness, I said it could also be the sound of someone loading a gun but my first thought was, (and this was before his statements were released) it sounds exactly like hitting a flashlight. I don't doubt that he was having flashlight issues.

It's true that there are many interpretations of race, but the only opinions that interest me are those of the experts. All I'm objecting to is the use of the word racist to refer to a nationality. Call it quibbling or whatever, but it just bugs me. Certainly there can be hateful or insensitive statements made about "Mexicans" irrespective of any issue of race.

He had two flashlights. The one they found ON was apparently working. But it still doesn't explain why he stood there for 84 seconds, on the phone with the dispatcher, in front of the homes on RVC and never told the dispatcher an address, since the only thing going through that mind of his was finding an address, any address, must...find...address...for...dispatcher!

I get the feeling there's a thread like this in a parallel universe to which only certain posters here have access. And in this thread, every third post is someone calling Zimmerman a cold-blooded murderer and demanding his head on a spike. But due to some cosmic disruption in the space-time continuum, the responses to that thread end up in this one where they look like ridiculous monuments of straw.

Yeah, and since the first one worked so well, maybe Zimmerman wanted to go overseas to get more of them and that's the alternative explanation for why an accused murderer out on bail hid a big pile of money and a passport from the court that the Zimmermanistas who don't think he was going to flee refuse to offer.
