Examples of Freeman success stories

When I have time to kill I will have to read a few pages of this thread given the irony between title and the number of pages of posts.:D

I would have expected it to resemble the length of a list of quadrapeligic paperhangers.

Well, here's the wonderful thing about privacy laws. Imagine if I were to try to play the "FoTL Guru" role. I'd love to have an official letter from the CRA that says I have no tax owing, to show to "skeptics" to shut them up.

And I could get a perfectly legitimate letter such as that by:

  1. Attracting the attention of the CRA by posting enough crap that people start to report me...
  2. ....and then paying all my taxes

After being audited, I request an official confirmation that there is no tax owing, then simply claim there's no tax owing because they accepted my FoTL nonsense. Privacy laws would preclude the CRA from gainsaying me, as to do so would illegally publish my tax records.

Winning!

Perhaps a letter dated February 31 ?

Horatius:

"Of course, since court decisions are entirely reactive in nature, and judges are reluctant to discussion hypothetical issues that go beyond the questions before them in the case at hand, we'll always be behind the curve in dealing with these claims. No matter how many times "Theory X" gets shot down, they'll continue to insist that "Theory X+1 is the real deal! Those other decisions have no relevance!""

I just realized I do have a suggestion to address this issue. The Income Tax Act has an obscure and little used "reference question" provision:

173. (1) Where the Minister and a taxpayer agree in writing that a question of law, fact or mixed law and fact arising under this Act, in respect of any assessment, proposed assessment, determination or proposed determination, should be determined by the Tax Court of Canada, that question shall be determined by that Court.

A reference question is a mechanism by which persons (usually in very restricted circumstances) can go to a court and ask that court to decide a hypothetical issue. The most common use of reference questions in Canada is for a government to ask a court to determine whether a proposed law is or is not constitutional.

Normally, a person can only go to court and ask for interpretation of the meaning of a law where that person has a right affected by legislation. Legally, that is called "standing". Standing is not required for a reference question.

The Income Tax Act reference question mechanism would allow you, or any other person, to ask the Tax Court of Canada determine whether a FOTLish scheme or concept is correct. You would have to obtain agreement from the Crown that the question is one that should go to the Tax Court, but otherwise, the sky's the limit.

Frankly, I do not think it improbable that the Canada Revenue Agency would be eager to cooperate with a group of Canadian skeptics who collected a range of common FOTLish legal memes for review by the Tax Court in a reference question proceeding. It would benefit both - the skeptics would have a court's explicit ruling on whether a scheme is or is not correct, and the CRA would have a ruling to use in their responses to taxpayer inquiries and for public information purposes.

(And if you tell Mr. Menard of an impending reference question proceeding he might try to intervene and be conveniently prepositioned for arrest as he exited the Tax Court hearing.)

Chaetognath.

Hmmm....now that is an interesting idea. I'll take a look at it.

Damn you! Now I must clean my monitor for the spray that erupted after reading your post. Not an easy reaction to get. Keep up the good work. :D

Roger Hayes, Freeman on the Land and noble tax evader has finally been clapped in irons. This is the FOTL who was said to have bust the system last year and who started a mini-riot at a British court attended by a motley collection of hippies, anarchists and far-right goons. Today he resides at HM's pleasure.

At 0930 this morning, in scenes reminiscent of Stasi East Germany, 2 police cars and 4 policemen from Merseyside Police arrested British Constitution Group Chairman Roger Hayes at his Wirral home and drove away.

... Denied the right to argue his case, denied the right to a Jury, denied the right for the public to see justice being done, Roger was imprisoned in the secretive gulag system that Britain has become in 2012.

Roger's "crime" is that he has been refusing to pay his Council tax, because along with other state taxes, a proportion of the tax revenue gathered is being sent to the European Union, used to fund unlawful wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria, and promote terrorism right around the world...

The state has never forgiven him for the arrest of Judge Peake at Birkenhead court as part of this campaign.

There's already a fruity Youtube clip about this man. My some alchemy, Freeman Roger's petty tax-dodging has been transformed into a brave stand against the invasion of Iraq. It claims that Hayes was never charged and never put in front of a court. In fact he's been in court at least twice. On the first occasion he played the FOTL trick of denying he was Roger Hayes before eventually agreeing to pay up. On the second occasion he brought along 200 thugs who stormed the court room, leading the several more arrests.

After misrepresenting the case, the lunatic who made this vid proceeds to ring up Merseyside police and blather on about 1984 and the Nazis.

He almost has a moment of clarity at 7.52. Almost.

rumpelstilzchen has a thread on Icke entitled "Prove FOTL works." I'd provide the link, but I'm new.

Still, it does not work.

Thanks SpitfireIX. I shall certainly be using it.

There's currently a thread over at Icke about a freewoman in distress, and there's a link to her blog about their current 'occupation' of the impound yard where her 'home' has been 'stolen'.

Could this be a success in the making?

Well, freeman success normally means that the individual has had their backside handed to them in court or they have had their vehicles crushed, so yes, it's a success story by their definition.

Lots of "success" there.

While ludicrous in nearly every sentence, some parts are better than others:

The Bill of Rights (1688)1 promises protection from fines and forfeitures without conviction.
In 4+ centuries, you think there might have been some additional legal precedence set?

We have found your staff’s attitude to be rude, dismissive, offensive and oppressive.
I've seen this before, complaining about "poor attitudes" seems to be a freeman thing. Why do they think it matters, legally...?
