Zimmerman failed to appear in previous court case, was fined $10,000

But Zimmerman was once fined $10,000 in a federal civil lawsuit because he was a no-show at his own deposition, The Miami Herald has learned. Records show lawyers, including one who flew in from Atlanta to take Zimmerman's sworn statement, waited for him for an hour and a half while they tried unsuccessfully to reach him.

Zimmerman ultimately won the overtime-pay dispute in arbitration, but the arbitrator hit him with a fine he apparently never paid. Nothing in the court file explained why he missed the deposition.

No wonder O'Mara wanted to get his hands on the donation money so fast! GZ apparently doesn't pay his legal bills. GZs credibility is rapidly swirling down the drain.
Like Judge Lester says, the Potted Palm has no respect for the law or the integrity of the judicial process, and here's just more proof.

A fine he never paid! Oh me oh my! Next thing you know we'll find out he defaulted on a mortgage and if that doesn't spell "guilty murderer with no credibility" I don't know what does. :p

$10,000 may not seem like a large fine to you but it goes to credibility and assurance to the court that GZ will show up in the future. Since I don't think Judge Lester is stupid, there was a reason he revoked GZ's bail. He's seen or is seeing something in this case that gives him a reason to say the case against GZ is strong.

Owing money doesn't make you a murderer but if you keep lying about past encounters with the legal process, your credibility, which is the only thing GZ has in this case, starts looking a little more shaky with each disclosure.

Sorry Katie, but that's wishful thinking and nonsense. The judge revoked his bail because he was mislead at the bond hearing. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the judge thinking the "case is strong".

Not only doesn't owing money make you a murderer, it's not even going to be allowed into the courtroom nor is it remotely relevant to the case. But if you prefer to view things from a fantastical rather than a realistic viewpoint of how this case will actually play out, that's your prerogative.

I must say, there is nothing more entertaining than seeing you repeatedly refer to GZ as Tugboat and now Potted Palm, it's slide splitting and thigh slapping funny, {ed} Rare Truth.

No idea, NBS, but that's what the judge himself said. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.

BTW, I'm not really a child.

Yeah, between this and lying Jeralyn, and the judges choice to say 'strong', instead of 'overwhelming', you've pretty much proven that it was a premeditated murder...

What is what the judge said?
He said that the evidence against George was strong... which is the minimum standard. Had he said 'weak', it would have worked against the prosecution, had he said 'overwhelming', it would have been prejudicial.

In other words, he was confirming that the capias said what it needed to say.

Well you have to admit, the head in the sand denial about what the judge really said, is yuckmeister material as well.

But Nooo... George committed felony perjury about the passport... O'Mara lied to the court... blaaah, blaaah, froth, wheeze, spittle...

Right, but Katie tried to suggest something entirely different, which was:
there was a reason he revoked GZ's bail. He's seen or is seeing something in this case that gives him a reason to say the case against GZ is strong.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is false, the judge did not revoke GZ's bail "because the case is strong", he revoked it because he was mislead at the original bond hearing. Then Katie comes back and said "that's what the judge said". I never said he didn't say the case was strong, I said that's not why he revoked bail.

You know that. I know that. The judge knows that.

I didn't say JKL was revoking GZs bond because the case was strong. JKL said that AT the bond revocation hearing. I know why the bond was revoked. I know what I heard the judge say. I wasn't connecting them, they simply happened at the same time.

“There are several factors that weigh against his release: this is a serious charge for which life could be imposed; the evidence against him is strong; he has been charged with one prior crime, for which he went through a pretrial diversion program, and has had an injunction lodged against him,

Most importantly, though, is the fact that he has now demonstrated that he does not properly respect the law or the integrity of the judicial process.”

Well, you fooled me:

Since I don't think Judge Lester is stupid, there was a reason he revoked GZ's bail. He's seen or is seeing something in this case that gives him a reason to say the case against GZ is strong.

It certainly read to me as if they were connected. Why else would you bring it up when discussing bail ?
