Continuation: Discussion of the George Zimmerman case

OK, so I just watched this video that was being harped on earlier.

Is someone sure this isn't meant to be comedy material? So George describes something one way on the night of the interview, and then when relating it again days or weeks later uses slightly different language to describe it and the video then turns molehills into mountains. I love 11:35, which is fairly typical, where GZ relates days (weeks?) later the "911" call: "well if he's not there do you still want a police officer and I said yes", and the video then triumphantly states, "contradicted by police call, Zimmerman was never asked if he still wanted an officer to report, rather the operator asked do you want to meet with the office when they get out there".

Oh me oh my, what inconsistencies!

So have any of you folk that are interested in reality and real evidence, sgt. baker, crimresearch, elvis et al, seen any significant material inconsistencies? Because I'm not convinced this guy is telling the 100% truth, but I'm sure not finding anything in these goofy CT videos.
The weakness that I think the prosecution can exploit would be why GZ believed that Martin's arm on his side was actually going for the gun, and the degree of difficulty in getting the gun out and firing with a person on top of him.

I think they will throw up a wall of questions about 'Why didn't you do this instead of that', which are pretty easily answered.

I think that they can suggest that GZ's entire story is self serving, but that is neither a crime, nor proof beyond a reasonable doubt of murder 2. An innocent person would be telling exactly the same story.

I think that if they start up with the 'You said '111' and the fact is, it's 1111, doesn't that make you a fat lying gangbanger???' that they will hurt their case.
The media made GZ thoroughly unlikeable as a defendant early on, and the jury could be tired of it.

I don't see the slam dunk on murder, and I'm not sure they've got the goods for manslaughter.

At this point, I'm just (still) not sure if George panicked during a butt-whipping and shot too soon and added the gun grab, or if the gun grab did occur, making it totally self defense.

Curious that the arresting officer reports placing GZ in custody at 19:19 and change.

It must have been several minutes later than that. I don't think the officer mentions seeing the witness there photographing GZ and TM.

I think we can rely on the iphone and call log times.

Does SPD have a record of him calling again? I would speculate that he might be calling Frank Taffee maybe, if SPD says he didn't call again.

What makes you think he would be calling Frank Taaffe ? Do you have reason to believe that he was even friends with Frank Taaffe before the shooting ?

It's another case of calling the police after they had arrived. This seems to happen all the time :D

I am surprised that Z didn't have anything to add to the previous report.

I don't think it matters except that it verifies GZ's claim to have already called 911 when that witness asks him about it.

The second call is also to the non-emergency number. Has it not been released yet?

It's probably something like:
Ah, this is George Zimmerman. I called earlier about a suspiscious person in the neighborhood that was acting strange. Yea, do you know when the police will be arriving. Ah, never mind. I see one pulling up now.
I hope he has a flashlight and can find my keys

What makes you think he would be calling Frank Taaffe ?

Oh IDK, maybe because Z claims M was first spotted being suspicious in Franks yard and around Franks house!

Still haven't watched the video I take it? I'm curious if you will go on record saying it contains nothing as NBS did.

Here's the link so you don't have to go to any trouble finding it:

Do you have reason to believe that he was even friends with Frank Taaffe before the shooting ?

Are you seriously suggesting Z did not know Frank before the shooting?

What thread have you been reading!

There are 2 key points in that video that will be coming up at the trial. Both are completely different from the reality we know of from the not911 call. If either are just memory inconsistency then George has serious mental issues. One of the 2 is clearly Z trying to make his case look better.

One top of that there are several minor inconsistencies, which, as opposed to the previous 2, I agree could be overlooked as normal memory lapses.

Would you like to re-examine the video so that your post doesn't come back to haunt you?

Zimmerman failed to appear in previous court case, was fined $10,000

But Zimmerman was once fined $10,000 in a federal civil lawsuit because he was a no-show at his own deposition, The Miami Herald has learned. Records show lawyers, including one who flew in from Atlanta to take Zimmerman's sworn statement, waited for him for an hour and a half while they tried unsuccessfully to reach him.

Zimmerman ultimately won the overtime-pay dispute in arbitration, but the arbitrator hit him with a fine he apparently never paid. Nothing in the court file explained why he missed the deposition.

No wonder O'Mara wanted to get his hands on the donation money so fast! GZ apparently doesn't pay his legal bills. GZs credibility is rapidly swirling down the drain.

George Zimmerman Bullied Former Colleague, Complaint Says

The former colleague says that Zimmerman, who is now 28, referred to him as "a ******* moron" on countless occasions, despite his recognition from his superiors as a talented salesman.

He says the bullying was noticed at CarMax. "Other sales people would come and approach me and say, don't worry about this guy, he's a bully, he's an idiot, he's young, he doesn't know what he's doing."

The former colleague said others at CarMax said Zimmerman was upset for not getting the promotion he thought he deserved, and that's why he took out his frustration on the colleague.

Boy, that sheds so much light on what happened Feb 26!

One day in the near future
Prosecutor: Mister Zimmerman listen up, you plead guilty, we’ll give you 5 years, out in 3, also total protection on the inside, and we’ll drop the charges against your wife. Otherwise if you go to trial, costing the taxpayers of Florida untold millions and you get convicted, you go in on your own, and your wife will be tried and she’ll be on her own in prison.
Zimmerman: What?

O'Mara would never allow George to accept such a deal. Not while his client still has a substantial legal defense fund and can fight these charges. Even before the trial, having both George and his wife use the accomodationss provided will substantially reduce their living expenses that would otherwise eat into the fund.

Staying in prison may be better for George too. While he is in custody pending trial, he apparently has additional privileges evidenced primarily by his extensive phone usage. After he is found guilty, his sentence will be reduced by this soft time served.

...
Since the last "potted palm" court date

he hasn't been on the phone very much.

:)

I see. If M had been suspicious in my yard, would that mean Z knew me, and would call me ? I'm not following the reasoning here ...

I have not. I'll try to watch it today.

What thread have you been reading!

Did I claim they didn't know each other ? What post have you been reading !

But ... please feel free to point out all the posts in the original thread that documented and explored GZ and FT close friendship.

I am not aware that he had extra phone privileges. Do you have evidence his phone usage was an extra privilege ?

These look like the Seminole county jail rules that would apply, maybe that would help:

A fine he never paid! Oh me oh my! Next thing you know we'll find out he defaulted on a mortgage and if that doesn't spell "guilty murderer with no credibility" I don't know what does. :p
