Continuation: Discussion of the George Zimmerman case

Sorry, but IMO if you tell a burglar (that's what Z thought he might be) "Hi, I'm from the neighborhood watch" he's most likely going to say something like "yeah, *******, what are you watching ME for, I'm gonna **** you up!" and most people know that.

Or, a more reasonable, logic, and reality based conclusion will be:

"Hi, I'm George of the NW. Are you lost? Can I help you?"

...........ZOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!! (Suspect runs away)

Anyone else think it a tad ironic George's initial bust with the law, on his Felony with Violence count -- GZ claimed the Agent didn't identify himself, and that was his reason for why he felt he didn't deserve the charge --

and some years later, the problem seems to be: He, the Cap'm -- didn't identify himself.

After the suspicious person has run away, and is no longer in sight, and is presumed to have gone for the back gate, it's safe to get out of the car and look for a house number, or a street sign, or have a Nutty Buddy, etc.
Are you following him?

Yeah.

These ******** always get away....

I'm sure someone will correct me if I have anything wrong here. What I'm wondering from what I've seen is that if the dinging when Z got out of his truck while he was on the phone really DOES mean his key was still in the ignition....then that would mean he DID return to his truck. Which would mean that TM came back a second time to basically taunt Z into following him so he could then confront him. Because the key was found at the T.

Det. Singleton: “You decided to get the address a fraction of a second after you said, ‘Oh ****. He’s running?’”

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Important notation there, so everyone knows *when* GZ ran after TM.

Serino: “And it sounds like you’re running too.”

Zimmerman: It was just windy. lol

You're comparing an undercover police officer to a NW guy?

Maybe what was found at the T was just a fob, like an add on remote start?

That would explain the key reminder and GZ's statement about the keys still being in the truck.

GZ might have just realized then that TM could take his truck. :)

Oh, and here I was thinking the problem was that TM assaulted GZ, and the whole time the real problem GZ just forgot to say 'It's me, Cap'm Zimmerman"

I just talked to a friend of mine, who has one of those ugly useless trucks, and he said that it will ding if you leave the lights on with the door open.

Doubtful that he went back to the truck. He even said his flashlight was dead, and there was a flashlight on the key chain.

TM probably wouldn't have believed GZ was the NW captain in a million years, imo.

I think if GZ gets out of the car to talk to TM when TM is approaching the first time, the fight probably starts right there.

It probably just changes the location of the fight.

Funny how GZ lies through his teeth remembers things.

In his video statements and/or reenactment, GZ said he doesn't know why SPD did not take him to the hospital the evening of the shooting

The arresting officer wrote in his report the SFD offered to take GZ to the hospital and he declined.

Singleton asked him again once at the station if he wanted to go to the hospital, GZ declined again.

Then later: "they told me I didn't need to go to the hospital."

That "memory" of his sure is a thing to behold.

Really? That's what a burglar is most likely to say?

I feel kinda silly now... thinking that most burglars prefer to stay relatively anonymous while going about their business. I would have guessed that TM (if he was casing houses) would have come up with some innocent explanation and moved on to another neighborhood.

Glad for your insightful post.

"Obviously you've passed a lie detector test and you've done all of that," Serino said. "But if there's anything that you haven't said that might be in that phone..."

Zimmerman interrupted, "I prayed to God that someone was videotaping this or that the neighborhood has a video camera that I didn't know about, or something."

Am I missing something, or isn't it pretty standard for SUVs to have a remote on the keyring that lets you leave the car running and locked while you go off somewhere?

I'm glad my OPINION cleared something up for you.
