Just released docs: Lead investigator on Zimmerman injuries: "marginally consistent with a life threatening violent event." @ABCWorldNews

Must be some new documents floating around ?

ETA:

Last week, Zimmerman's attorney Mark O’Mara released audio and video recordings of Zimmerman's statements to police in the days following the shooting.

In the new extended version, we see Zimmerman giving more detailed accounts of what happened on the night he killed Trayvon Martin.

A police report written statement says that Zimmerman's actions were: "inconsistent with those of a person who has stated he was in fear of" and that Zimmerman had "at least 2 opportunities" to defuse situation with Trayvon.

The police report also stated that Zimmerman "failed to identify himself as a concerned resident or a neighborhood watch member" to Trayvon.

If true, Serino seems to be trying to get GZ off by changing his own opinions about the evidence. :)

Yeah, that isn't going to go well for GZ. Not at all.

Good find! Do you know where part 2 is? Or is it still being worked on?
Still being worked on.

The person who produced it undoubtedly leans pro-Trayvon, but the quality level, and general adherence to facts known, and mere side by side comparison, for the most part, make it one of the better presentations so far.

I too look forward to Part 2.

Hmmm - my bad. I'm sure I read somewhere that it was very cold that night. I guess it was incorrect information. Thanks!

I think that came from the stories about what GZ might have said instead of "blanking coons".

One of the popular ones was "blanking cold", and then people were speculating that it was a bit cool that evening.

Yes, possible but I'm pretty sure I also remember hearing someone say that it was actually almost freezing cold that night. Something like 10 degrees or something because I distinctly remember thinking that was almost unheard of for Florida. Oh well, no matter - obviously wrong.

If voice analysis is derided as being magical woo, surely lie detector tests won't pass muster, will they?

GZ would undoubtedly be hammered with it if he had failed...or refused.

So, I think it's fair to consider it a point in his favor that he took it and passed.

Personally, I think it's junk.

Mostly, I think they just use it to see how you react to the idea of taking the test.

"Investigative findings show the physical injuries displayed by George Michael Zimmerman were marginally consistent with a life-threatening episode as described by him."
And in other news, investigators have ruled out ninjas as the source of Zimmerman's injuries.

This has been gone over many, many times. It doesn't matter if Zimmerman wasn't in fear for his life when he was being punched, if he was reasonably in fear a second later, that he was about about to be shot. The fight injuries don't have to be life threatening, the Kel-Tec ups the game.

Everything about voice analysis was not derided as woo. Magicvoicetm or whatever it was called was derided, due to lack of exemplars, poor recordings, etc. Basically because in the scream scenario, it was woo.

That being said, I think this voice stress test is not admissible in court, it's just an investigative tool. GZ gets no great hurrah from me for passing.

It has been proven over and over, complete with links to authoritative references, that allvoice analysis isn't woo, but the magical software that can detect a young child sobbing from internet copies of the 911 calls is woo. The voice analysis that the FBI did debunking that nonsense is on the record.

And the facts on lie detector tests in court, aren't even up for argument. Failure or refusal cannot be brought up by the prosecution as a presumption of guilt.

I basically agree with all of this. I still contend that calling EasyVoice "woo" was the default position for Team Zimmerman and certainly could have been proven valid, but I certainly accept that the recording they have wasn't good enough to prove anything in court.

no, weather underground says it was 63 degrees at 1900 hours.

This might be an example of how opinions about matters of fact can honestly differ. For somebody from south Florida, 63 might be pretty chilly; for a Minnesotan, it's practically tropical.

Lead investigator in Trayvon Martin case transferred out of investigative unit

SANFORD, Fla. —
The lead investigator in the Trayvon Martin case is being transferred out of the investigative unit at the Sanford Police Department, WFTV learned on Tuesday.

This comes less than a week after city leaders fired Police Chief Bill Lee over the way he handled the controversy following the Trayvon Martin shooting investigation.

Serino's hadenough. Back on the streets with Night Patrol.

Yes, but GZ would indeed have been hammered with a refusal or failure.

Just a question: Will that be an option for the jury? Is manslaughter a lesser included charge? Or do they have to choose between murder or acquittal?

Yes, they can, and yes, it is.

2nd deg Murder, Manslaughter, or acquittal.

"Investigative findings show the physical injuries displayed by George Michael Zimmerman were marginally consistent with a life-threatening episode as described by him."

I might agree with that.

of course, your definition of marginally might be different than mine...
