Trayvon Martin, Vigilante Justice

...
I would think if it was obviously impossible, there would be a lot of experts explaining how it really happened, not just random posts on an Internet forum. ...

This may come as a surprise to you, but the trial has not started yet, and the prosecution is prohibited from commenting.

By the way, Zimmerman got "physically involved" when he "physically" left his car and walked or ran after Trayvon. By his own admission, he followed him. By the phone call with DD, he followed him. The only place where the stories diverge is that George claims that when the dispatcher told him not to follow, he complied, but still ended up next to Trayvon whilst looking for a street sign. By the way, is there a street sign on that other street? I don't think there is, since the T exits away from any corner. In fact, he parked his car right on a corner, and typically there's a street sign there.

In fact, in his reenactment video, he says as they approach where he parked, "I parked right over by that sign there". I can't tell what the sign says. Anyone know?

As an aside, does anyone want to speak to some of George's inconsistencies?

Listen to the NEN call again. George claims in his re-enactment (RE) that he first talks to the dispatcher while he's parked at the clubhouse. As soon as he starts talking, he claims that Trayvon is checking him out. That's about 1 minute into the call. In the RE, he claims that the dispatcher told him to follow Trayvon. That never happened. But also the "checking out" happens while he's still at the clubhouse. Or says he is. In the RE, he claims all this took place right outside the T. And it takes much longer than one minute to get over there, for Trayvon to get around that corner, come back, and circle his car. All of those actions don't fit the phone call at all. In the course of 1 minute:

  1. He says Trayvon is near 1440 Retreat View.
  2. George parks into the clubhouse.
  3. George talks to the dispatcher, who tells him to follow (which didn't happen)
  4. George drives to Twin Trees and parks.
  5. George sees Trayvon round the corner to his house.
  6. Trayvon comes back around the corner and approaches George.
  7. Trayvon circles George's car.
All in the space of about a minute. And this is the kid "walking about, looking at houses".

Does this make sense to anyone?

I think his story doesn't add up. I think he didn't see Trayvon where he claimed to. The timeline doesn't work.

ETA: Listening to the NEN again. In the call, he says he's at the clubhouse, and that's when Trayvon is coming to check him out. In the RE, he places that at the T. He completely changed his story. Wow.
So so so many discrepancies.

The one where Serino played the 911 call and asked to explain the many inconsistencies, it was amazing how this person suddenly gets a case of amnesia.

Blamed it on his Hyperactivity disorder. Which he failed to disclose to Serino initially he was taking psychotropic drugs ( a mix of uppers and downers) twice a day for...

Do you have a link to that? I missed this.

Google maps says that walk is about four minutes, on foot.

ETA: Crap, can't get the right map to link.

Google directions from 1440 Retreat View to "location where Trayvon Martin was shot" and then choose "on foot". It says four minutes to walk that far.

Possible reasons for this discrepancy.

  1. He was lying during the NEN call about where he was.
  2. He was never parked at the clubhouse, but was instead following Trayvon in his car all the way to the T. He said he was parked to make it sound like he was not as involved as he was.
  3. He was lying during the reenactment about where he called from.
  4. He was lying about where he first saw Trayvon. This could also be why the bank ATM video is listed. Maybe he listed 1440 because his friend lived there and was burgled and thought it made his actions seem more justified.

Another red flag: How does TM deliver so many blows, to include several face punchings and grabbing a nearly hairless head and pummeling pummeling pummeling it into a sidewalk, then covering a bloody nose and mouth to suffocate -- and not have any of Z's blood or DNA on his hands and fingernails?

I've asked this several times.

We now know that George didn't just pull over to the side of the road and make a phone call. He stopped at the Northwest corner on Retreat View Circle and watched "the guy" come through the short cut. He drove past the guy up to the front of the club house and watched the guy walk past. He then drove to the east corner of Twin Trees Lane and continued talking to the dispatcher as the guy had to walk past George's truck yet again. That's enough to freak anyone out and it's not surprising that Trayvon ran at that point. Then instead of waiting for the police who are already on their way, George gets out of his truck and runs down the path in the direction he saw the guy run.

It was in one of the initial interviews with Serino. Up front, Serino asks him if he has any personality disorders (or similar term, I forget the exact term) - then when he gets hit with why can't he remember the streets (there were a total of THREE streets in that neighborhood) - Z brings up his ADHD and that he "has a bad memory."

Serino seemed upset Z failed to tell him that when he specifically asked about such earlier, then S inquired as to the dosage and how often Z took the drugs.(20mg., twice a day)

I'll have to hunt for it...but it was in the one where he claims to "have a bad memory" - and right around at that mark.

Here's a report of it:

"At one point, Mr. Zimmerman mentions that he had received a diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder as a child and takes 20 milligrams of Adderall twice a day. He cites his disorder as one reason he could not remember one of three major streets in his community when he called the police.
“To be honest with you, I have a bad memory anyway,” he told Mr. Serino."

I'll find the spot on the tape.

I've asked this several times.

Yeah, questions regarding how relatively unmarked both Zimmerman's face and Martin's hands were have been asked over and over. I'm sure these latest will be swept under the rug with all the others.

But specifically the blood. He claims that Trayvon held his nose with his hands. He claims Trayvon hit him something like 30 times? That he repeatedly bashed his head against the ground? And we saw photos. George was bleeding around the head. So why didn't any of the blood get on Trayvon's hands? Doesn't that suggest he was not hit repeatedly and that Trayvon did not have his hands on his mouth and nose? If so, why would George lie?

If we go by the current standard here, then any person who hears noises coming from their back porch, looks out the window and sees nothing, then goes outside to check it out and gets attacked - is asking for trouble and should go to prison if they end up killing their attacker.

How do you reconcile this with Zimmerman's injuries? Does the "not enough injuries" on one guy balance out the "injuries on the other guy" so that no firm conclusion can be drawn or is there another scenario that explains the discrepancies?

I think a reasonable person could interpret physically involved as, for example, getting involved in a confrontation. Like the witness 'John' - who stepped outside to get 'physically involved' with GZ and TM by yelling at them  but didn't run over and try to break up the fight, but ran inside to call the police. By your definition, he was physically involved. I think if you asked someone not involved in this discussion if John was 'physically involved' - they would clearly say no.

You're ignoring the original conext and conflating an activity with a person. Unless you think the original statement was saying not to get into a confrontation with an activity?

did he specifically say he was PARKED at the clubhouse or did he say he was AT the clubhouse. Possibly, his call started at the clubhouse and continued as he drove?

My belief is that Zimmerman was punched once in the nose and then cut and scraped his head while rolling around on the ground in the ensuing struggle.

This scenario fits the evidence. The one Zimmerman presents - for the reasons stated above - does not.

This sign? http://transferstation.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/japan-tv.jpg If this were a teev forensics drama we could get a reflection of the sign face off the Honda insignia.

But from this http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk453/TalkLeft/zimmerman/uturn2.jpg it looks more associated with the walkway than the street

But it looks like there is no street sign there (Unless that short white post is a street sign?)

did he specifically say he was PARKED at the clubhouse or did he say he was AT the clubhouse. Possibly, his call started at the clubhouse and continued as he drove?

Watch his re-enactment. He says he was driving past 1440 and saw Trayvon "stopped". Then he says he called NEN and then parked at the clubhouse in order to talk. As soon as he starts talking, he lists 1440 as the nearest address. Then he says Trayvon is approaching him but then seconds later, he's on foot. So his claim of parking at the clubhouse is unbelievable and doesn't fit the NEN call.

He says he drove past the guy and pulled into a parking space in front of the club house and parked and that's where he made the call to the NEN.
