Are Flying Saucers Supernatural?

Errr... the title of the thread is "Are Flying Saucers Supernatural"

The OP says:

I've been pondering this question. I don't think they are necessarily. I certainly don't think we're being visited by aliens, but it's not because I think that alien visitation is supernatural.

It's been proven that there are spacecrafts orbiting the earth. It's proven because humans put them there, so flying saucers and aliens are only as supernatural as space shuttles and humans. It's possible that living things traveling between planets is supernatural, but I'm not exactly sure how.

I usually rule out the supernatural, much to the chagrin of my religious friends, but I think whether aliens count is an interesting question that I can't quite answer. What do you all think?

No reference to flying disks there. What's the old saying? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yes, but if we redefine 'flying saucers' to mean 'Frisbees' and then we redefine 'paranormal' to mean 'plastic toys made for throwing'... then Mikeyx is 100% correct....

.... however, until we do that, he's 100% wrong. :D

All these rredefinitions.... de ja vu.

No doubt the Rredefinictionary will be making an appearance in 5...4...3...2...1...

I think it was Agatha's idea... I thought JA had done the picture...

Have none of us got a copy between us... how crap are we?

There was a picture?

Isn't Google Image Search wonderful?...

Nope.

I wouldn't consider the existence of intelligent life outside earth supernatural at all. They may even have spaceships capable of interplanetary travel. However, that these ships are not only also capable of crossing interstellar distances but are also visiting earth has such low probability, in my opinion, that it verges on the supernatural/paranormal.
I have never seen one. I was quietly persuing my investigation into dream interpretation, because I had a hunch Freud was more wrong than right. Then I was able to establish for my own satisfaction that dreams are telepathy in the sleeping state. Years later I was able to estimate the speed of telepathy, which far exceeds the speed of light, so it is outside the realm of eletromagnetism, yet my brain is able handle it. Having said this, extraterrestrials are communicationg by telepathy, because it facilitates auromatic translation to your own working language. They are from Ganymade, one of the larger moons of Jupiter. They propose a public landing at Banff, Alberta, Canada, provided there is internation guarantee they are permitted to leave untouched. From my own experiences the US government would rather capture trather than permit them any legitimacy. Imagine, this coveted technology dropping out of the sky and you just let them go.

You should have stopped there.

It's good to have a hobby, however . . .

Then I was able to establish for my own satisfaction that dreams are telepathy in the sleeping state.

You've set your satisfaction level way too low.

Years later I was able to estimate the speed of telepathy, which far exceeds the speed of light, so it is outside the realm of eletromagnetism, yet my brain is able handle it.

When your brain makes up stuff for its own amusement, "handling it" is pretty much part of the deal.

Only if your working language is Gibberese.

Ganymade isn't a moon of anything. Does this telepathy thingy of yours have a spell check add-on?

From my own experiences the US government would rather capture trather than permit them any legitimacy.

Maybe that's why ET has decided to make his grand entrance in Canadiastan.

Imagine, this coveted technology dropping out of the sky and you just let them go.

About as easily as I can imagine hypersonic Volkswagens.

There's not a lot to do in Calgary, is there?
