You're not very good at quote-mining. Do you mean to say that because in 2000, a judge soft-pedalled the blow that was about to fall when he rejected Irving's libel suit and called him in effect a lying Nazi hack, David Irving is today a well respected historian? Or was being published by houses of the highest standing in 2000?

This isn't a classroom, though. It's a internet forum thread where various people are posting, many of whom evidently haven't read Wiesel but have read lots else on the Holocaust. In any case neither you nor Clayton Moore have actually read Wiesel, so your droning on about him simply makes you crashing bores.

Why, in reply to a statement about those of us posting in this thread, stating that "not one of us" in this discussion has even cited him, would you spam the thread with material on Wiesel's being used in classrooms? Oh, that's right, you're an intellectual hypocrite pretending to have a point . . .

The answer, which Clayton failed to provide twice, is no, not all German Jews were sent to Theresienstadt.

One salient difference between German and Austrian Jews on the one hand, and the rest of European Jews on the other, was that Germans and Austrians were more likely to know German and Austrian Jews personally. These were people's former neighbours, and not every German or Austrian was a raving antisemite, unlike some people we could mention on this thread.

Squirming? LOL. Clayton, where could one read, if one could read, this statement of what was to be done with certain named classes of German and Austrian Jews? Why did the writer describe the solution as "expedient"?
SS-Obergruppenführer Heydrich went on to say that an important prerequisite for the evacuation as such is the exact definition of the persons involved.

It is not intended to evacuate Jews over 65 years old, but to send them to an old-age ghetto - Theresienstadt is being considered for this purpose.

In addition to these age groups - of the approximately 280,000 Jews in Germany proper and Austria on 31 October 1941, approximately 30% are over 65 years old - severely wounded veterans and Jews with war decorations (Iron Cross I) will be accepted in the old-age ghettos. With this expedient solution, in one fell swoop many interventions will be prevented.

Speaking of mild sexual content in holocaust testimony, here's a gem I found from the Claims Conference: This man is describing the horrific medical experiment he suffered.

Mr. K, Age 80

Place of Persecution: Auschwitz
Dates: 1942 to 1945

"As soon as I arrived in Auschwitz I was taken into a room and there I was undressed and made to kneel down … on my knees and my hands. The SS officer [who] was probably a doctor, dressed in white robe, shoved an iron stick, which had a handle on its end, right into my rectum. He then turned the stick and caused an involuntary ejaculation of sperm. A female SS officer [who] worked with the other officer held two pieces of glass underneath my genitals in order to collect a sample of my sperm for the lab. They then made me stand up on a special machine that gave electric waves to both sides of my genitals until again a sperm was ejaculated. After the liberation I was taken to Sanatorium Gauting next to Munich. There I was bedridden for almost a year starting with a weight of only 30 kilograms. During that year I was operated for serious medical problems."

Actually how it works is a teacher sets students a reading list which they then take away, digesting as much as they can in the allotted time. For a 1500 word essay it's not unusual that they consult 10-12 different books and articles. Then the student comes back with their essay, and they have cited the correct page numbers to the references. Then the teacher marks the essay.

Most of you guys are still at the stage where you get the reading list recommendations, and continue to fail to show any signs of digesting them, even though they're usually free, readily available online, and would be considered basic sources to understand before you guys open your mouths. I appreciate that there is a sliding scale here, with Clayton Moore at one end, MaGZ in the middle, and you at the other end.

That's why you get different responses, by and large, because there isn't much point expecting Clayton Moore to start reading anything longer than a short excerpt of a whale.to article, whereas MaGZ doesn't read anything longer than a JHR article, while you pretend to have read Hilberg, but haven't really.
