US economic aid, besides the drop in the bucket for education for Israeli Arabs and Jews, has been phased out since 2006. The economic aid to Israel that should be referred to was in the beginning 2 decades of Israel's existence as a modern state. Enough to get it on its feets economically, the same which should be applied to industry in African countries, but on a much larger scale. Including individual donations, as with the case of US Jewry to those living in Israel, especially in the early 1950's-1960's.
Additionally, there's a few threads about this where discussion goes into detail about this specific subject, but its been crickets thusfar which goes to show how this very subject is misunderstood. So go there.
I know these individual donations and programs do exist to develop industry and education on the African continent, just not enough of it and spread too thin to do any real good. And additionally, sustained aid for long-term development.
