Looking for TAM X roommates
I'm Steve Bauer, 53-year-old retired attorney from Portland, Oregon. The past two TAMs, I have enjoyed the good company of some excellent roomies just by announcing that I've got a room and am looking for company. So here's the deal. I have a two-queen-bed non-smoking room for Thurs., Fri., and Sat. nights, and so I'm looking for up to 3 roommates. I would be fine with either gender, but so far it's been all guys, and that's fine, too. (And if there were four people interested, I'd be glad to be the one to sleep on the floor.) While I am not a prude, I request that my roomies stay reasonably sober and not steal towels, or bust up the furniture. It'll be your room, too, of course, and due to the nature of TAMs, I understand that people come and go at ALL hours of the day and night. Just do it quietly, especially during typical sleeping hours, so that we can all enjoy the event. Again, I am not looking to play room mother (or father, or whatever), but if you haven't gotten all of your college-days-party-animal tendencies under control (whether you went to college or not), then go steal the towels and bust up the furniture in someone else's room. Best way to reach me is just call me at home, 503-246-9520; on my cell at 503-757-1944; or reply to
steveb@e-z.net, as I don't check the forum very often, if at all. I had 3 great roomies in 2010, 3 great roomies in 2011, and I'd like to repeat that experience in 2012. I will be arriving fairly early Thursday and will check in ASAP and be ready to get room keys passed out just as soon as the room is available for occupancy. BONUS: I usually go to the show in the lounge and scoop up a huge handful of ticket stubs, each good for one free drink at any of the hotel bars. Glad to pass those out, too. Oh, and your cost: if I get just one roomie, it'll be $180; with two, $120; with three, $90. So if I can get 4 on board total, it is only $30 per night for your stay, and that's pretty good in Vegas these days. Let me know!
