Anyone need a roommate for TAM X?

(I know I'm rather early with this, but if I can't arrange to split a room with someone sooner rather than later it's unlikely I'll be able to go at all.)

Since you are apparently new around here it might help your case to explain more about yourself, your gender, and smoking status in order to attract a roommate.

(And I already have one this year, sorry) :)

Oh! Good point.

30 year-old Caucasian male. Non-smoker, no pets, heterosexual, agnostic, employed, politically liberal, registered independent, 17 tattoos, one birthmark, one scar, not in a relationship, one blog, two Tumblrs.

Did I leave anything out?

dunesen,

I am in preliminary planning stages myself. However it is starting to look like I will be able to do TAM for once in my life.

45 yeal old Caucasian male. Occasional Cigar Smoker, but never in the hotel room, pets will be left home, heterosexual, atheist, employed, socially liberal (generally I hate politics), registered Independent, 2 tattoos, no birthmark, quite a few small scars, married, two blogs, geek.

I don't know yet when I will arrive, or when I am leaving since I am trying to plan this in conjunction with some training my company is sending me for that is in Vegas the following week.

Being this is Vegas we're talking about, people may want to indicate (regardless of odds) the potential of the prospect of being a friend back for private discussions may impeding a roommate's access to the room.

I think I was able to parse that sentence... :D

Since it's Vegas, I think it's important that you include the odds. :)

tl;dr "I'd like to invite people up for coffee"

Well, thanks for the response, but it looks like I won't be able to make it this year.

The rest of you guys and gals have fun though.

Well, maybe next time.

I think I have a roommate arrangement with a co-worker. So I'm off the market.

Looking for TAM X roommates

I'm Steve Bauer, 53-year-old retired attorney from Portland, Oregon. The past two TAMs, I have enjoyed the good company of some excellent roomies just by announcing that I've got a room and am looking for company. So here's the deal. I have a two-queen-bed non-smoking room for Thurs., Fri., and Sat. nights, and so I'm looking for up to 3 roommates. I would be fine with either gender, but so far it's been all guys, and that's fine, too. (And if there were four people interested, I'd be glad to be the one to sleep on the floor.) While I am not a prude, I request that my roomies stay reasonably sober and not steal towels, or bust up the furniture. It'll be your room, too, of course, and due to the nature of TAMs, I understand that people come and go at ALL hours of the day and night. Just do it quietly, especially during typical sleeping hours, so that we can all enjoy the event. Again, I am not looking to play room mother (or father, or whatever), but if you haven't gotten all of your college-days-party-animal tendencies under control (whether you went to college or not), then go steal the towels and bust up the furniture in someone else's room. Best way to reach me is just call me at home, 503-246-9520; on my cell at 503-757-1944; or reply to steveb@e-z.net, as I don't check the forum very often, if at all. I had 3 great roomies in 2010, 3 great roomies in 2011, and I'd like to repeat that experience in 2012. I will be arriving fairly early Thursday and will check in ASAP and be ready to get room keys passed out just as soon as the room is available for occupancy. BONUS: I usually go to the show in the lounge and scoop up a huge handful of ticket stubs, each good for one free drink at any of the hotel bars. Glad to pass those out, too. Oh, and your cost: if I get just one roomie, it'll be $180; with two, $120; with three, $90. So if I can get 4 on board total, it is only $30 per night for your stay, and that's pretty good in Vegas these days. Let me know!

I think I could use a roomate. For some reason, I didn't bother getting a room, yet. But, I could get one, if it's needed.

I am male, and I don't smoke. And I'm not terribly picky. But, I don't share beds with other males.
