You can say the same about nearly any large-scale event. Occupy Wall Street, the Iceland Volcano erupting, the fall of the Roman Empire, stuff like that. That's not indicative of a conspiracy.

Maybe so but if what you imply is true, then why didn't they do 9/11 or something like it much earlier? There would have been ample amount of opportunities for which to strike with virtual impunity and still pin it on their fall guys. So why wait so long?

Edit to add: And your above argument is still rendered invalid by the fact that it would mean that the Government would still be rendering funds and assistance to a criminal orginization for forty or more years and thus would be guilty of conspiracy to commit crimes against humanity and would be responsible for any and all actions taken by Al-Qaeda.

They would have had to spend billions upon billions of dollars and, at the same time, go undetected for forty years! It's inconceivable by any rational imagination.

Who knows? Why do criminals do anything at the precise times they choose?

Maybe not to watch black ops carried out, but to ensuere that all the money is accounted for (something I called you out on earlier, for your information). I am by no means an accountant (however I'm sure there are some on the forums who confirm this) but I can easily imagine the scenario playing out just like this:

Accountant Smith is looking over the accounts of [insert agency here] and notice the numbers don't add up. Billions upon Billions of dollars seem to have been vanishing with no explanation as to why over the course of forty years. Fearing that he may have to take responsibility for this he goes to his immediate supervisor Mister Kevin, who naturally may not know what it's all about so the two take it to Dirrector Zed.

He dismisses the whole thing, and fails to act on it. Naturally they take it to the Oversight Committee who launches an in depth investigation which becomes public and the information comes to light that [insert agency here] was actively committing conspiracy with a known terrorist organization to commit unlawful acts, high treason, crimes against humanity, etcetera...

Rember when I said the intelligence community is a professional field? Everything must be accounted for even 'black book' programs, if not it looks suspicious although that's just simple thievery rather than some convoluted plot.

Where did you get the silly idea that covert, black budget programs have to be accounted for? Are you honestly under the impression that there is a government bean counter out there tracking every single dollar of U.S. government money?

This has nothing to do with the government, I specifically talked about how the rest of the engineering and scientific community has done plenty of studies on 911 and its been the most studied and discussed event in the past 10 years in these subjects yet they do not agree with you in any way whatsoever. If the government lied, why is it outside the government you still have no support apart from your fringe band of nobodies?

Therefore your analogy is false, as I explained. Try again.

Who knows? There's a lot of cognitive dissonance out there. Nobody really wants to believe they live under a government that would murder or have them murdered in cold blood to start a war of aggression. Instead, they'd rather believe that their government is fair, just, honest, and working in their best interests.

This prevents people from looking at the 9/11 event and aftermath objectively.

It's a combination of several factors. A lot of people are yes, brainwashed. A lot of people are hamstrung by their own biases. A lot of people can't overcome their cognitive dissonance. A lot of people suffer from Stockholm syndrome. A lot of people work for or are dependent on the government and are incapable of biting the hand that feeds them.
