Trayvon Martin, Vigilante Justice

When you word it that way, it may be allowed. However, asking anything about what Martin felt, or anything of the sort, would not.
They're going to claim Martin attacked first. And part of that will be to establish that Martin wasn't terrified of Zimmerman or considered him much of a threat.

Right.

And it looks like the Sanford PD does indeed know the law regarding arresting Zimmerman. It appears that under FL law, they have a good argument that they were not allowed to arrest him.

Here's an interesting note that I found in the police report.

It states that Zimmerman's shirt was wet, and had grass on it. The officer also said that Zimmerman had a bloodied nose, and was bleeding from his nose and back of his head. He was treated AT THE SCENE by the Sanford Fire Department.

Now, if Zimmerman was in such fear for his life that he had to resort to using deadly force, why were his wounds so insignificant that the SFD treated him at the scene, without referring him to the local hospital?

If his wounds required nothing more than some tape and a 4x4 piece of gauze, and no referral to the local emergency room, how is it that he could claim that he was in such fear for his life?

It doesn't make ANY sense to me.

Even IF Martin was the attacker, he went above and beyond what the state statute calls meeting force with force. He used deadly force, when he had superficial wounds on him. Now, I would be completely on Zimmerman's side if he had a cracked skull, and two black eyes, and a broken jaw. But, what what I see, he had a little ******* scrape on his head. However, this is not the case. Treated at the scene. (Paramedics in Florida cannot suture, so stitches were NOT required)
If a cracked skull was the prerequisite for using deadly force there would never be any successful use of it at all, the whole point of being allowed to use deadly force is to prevent those types of injuries. I don't think a person with a cracked skull is even going to be conscious, let alone capable of firing a gun to defend himself.

If the prosecution says that Martin attacked Zimmerman but only bloodied his nose and therefore Zimmerman was in the wrong they're going to lose.

The kid had Skittles and iced tea according to reports. In his situation, I would certainly whack somebody on the head with the tea after he tackled me.
You're assuming Zimmerman tackled Martin, the prosecution would have to prove that to be the case. And thus far I haven't seen any evidence that he did.

The phone call to the girlfriend and the fact that a witness describes seeing fatso standing over Martin.

No, they didn't. The nitwits didn't even question witnesses.

The call with the g/f established no such thing, and it's unclear from the 13 year old dog walker who was on top of whom and it also says nothing about how the fight started.

I don't think you have to wait for an injury to defend yourself, let alone wait for a severe injury.

I think this will probably boil down to the physical evidence.

Unless there was a security camera pointed at them that we don't know about yet...

Those are good questions but all I have are opinions. My opinion on what happened is pretty much what his neighbor said, in a recent interview. This was a perfect storm. There was a series of burglaries in the past year or so. Zimmerman had been taking an active role in crime prevention, in the neighborhood. The neighbor stated that the people that were committing these thefts were young black males thus causing Zimmerman to be hyper-vigilant to young black males (profiling). Zimmerman has a history with the police department. He allegedly thwarted a few burglaries and even helped to catch a burglar. The police see him as a good guy.

Got documentation? Didn't you hear the moron complaining that "They always get away?"

We already know that. Fatso got out of the truck to confront martin.

Yeah, at least one head always has to roll in order to get Sharpton and crew to leave. Might as well be the chief.
It has nothing to do with appeasing the civil rights activists.

Why didn't that idiot chief train his people to interview witnesses before releasing an armed lunatic?

So, the police report is fake then? It says Officers Mead and Wagner made contact with neighbors and interviewed 6 named witnesses.

All well before Fatso was released.

Do all of the detectives speak English as a primary language?

I don't understand what happened to this. Why is this not being reported.

The first news clip says one of the witnesses, the fight occured under his window, the morning after the altercation stated that he saw Zimmerman on the bottom of the scuffle crying for help. They also interviewed Martin's father and father's girlfriend. It's unclear what she meant but she said that he was just on the porch and then he was gone. That indicates that Martin may have made it home and then possibly went back to confront Zimmerman. (correction, she said, "he was walking home from the store, he was sitting on the porch and this man killed him")

The second news story talks about key points of the case. For one, the DA was who said there was not enough evidence to make a case. Then it said that witnesses corroborated Zimmerman's story, that night. Then it says that Martin's father told police that it wasn't his son's voice on the tape. The anchorwoman said that they got the information from the Orlando Sentinal and confirmed it with the Sanford police.

Also, in the report, Zimmerman did admit to following Martin and said he stopped when the operator told him not to. That may or may not be true but the news has been reporting that they have been unable to reach Zimmerman since that night. That shows that the claim that Zimmerman was getting out of his truck to see what road he was on, is a complete fabrication.
