Ed Rob Menard's FOTL Claims

Well done D'rok!
Gracias.

I don't want to exaggerate my role. I was definitely not their most important source. But it was gratifying to see that they used a lot of the documentation and info that I gave them.

The only cop who had the balls to speak, hid their face.

And for those looking for yet another example of Menardian dishonesty, watch the clip. The cop he complains "hid their face"? Is an undercover cop.

Menard attempts to make a perfectly normal practice (concealing the identity of working undercover cops) look like the cop is trying to avoid the freemen, or is embarrassed to show himself.

Of course, as is par for the course, Menard doesn't make that accusation outright, he merely implies it with his choice of words, and his omissions. That's that Forthright Freeman Honesty, again.

How dare CBC portray nonsense as nonsense.
That's about the long and the short of it. It may be a surprise to the self-aggrandizing gurus of the movement, but ridiculousness like birth bonds, wages aren't income, traveling isn't driving, etc., is all self-evident nonsense to any sane person. Thus the reason Adrienne says things like "Confused yet? It gets worse" (introducing birth bonds), and "how could you fall for that?" (talking to ex-FOTLer).

What's really relevant to the CBC's general audience is whether or not it's dangerous nonsense. When the leader of the movement is writing open letters to the RCMP threatening to shoot them after he was pulled over in a traffic stop, this is a reasonable concern. Also, given FOTLism's provenance in the American sovereign citizen/redemption movement, it is only prudent to ask this question given that traffic stops involving sovereigns have turned deadly.

I don't think Menard will personally turn violent. No profit in that. But I think it's only a matter of time before one of his minions does. There are too many unbalanced people getting too into this fantasy world. Someone's bound to go off sooner or later.

I agree.

If one wants to know what our subject does next, I would suggest that, rather than study just U.S. sovereign citizens, one should also take a look at what people with narcissist personalities disorders do when they fail to get the approval they expect.

In view of Menard throwing Brian Armstrong, Keith Thompson, girl guy, Lance Thatcher and now John Morkunas under the bus every freeman wannabe has to ask how much follow up and support he’d really get for his World Freeman Society membership.

Actually, if you want to parse reality, HE didn't; the CBC cameraman under-exposed him so he was in silhouette. Bit of a difference. Syntax is (well can be, in your case) your friend.

And as Horatius pointed out already, the guy's an undercover copper; are you really saying that you were surprised?

That said, did you not have something better, more impressive that you could've worn? I mean this as a television professional of some decades experience. Your words may have betrayed nuttery but you could've given people pause to reconsider if you looked like FMOTLism had imbued you with all this easily-gotten material wealth as exemplified by this fine, expensive suit you chose to throw on for an interview with the national broadcaster. Instead, your garb confirmed the verbal nuttery.

You now have a hammerlock on the fringe. Your last, best hope for national media exposure is if W5 apes the CBC sometime this fall. Trouble is, their broadcast window is 7pm on Saturdays; not exactly a prime spot. The upside is that you'd be up against infomercials on many of the U.S. border stations and Family Guy and The Simpsons repeats.

Hello Adrienne Arsenault, Dean Clifford here. I have 8 words for you, 'Willful promotion of hatred against an identifiable group." Looks like I will be gathering my evidence for a private prosecution tomorrow. Thank you for publicly identifying anyone who wants to actually be shown legitimate law, as a "freeman" that CBC just willfully promoted hatred against. I notice that you didn't say "freemen" were wrong....just that we "may be dangerous", and "LOOKOUT CANADA, they're coming!!!" It's not our fault that most of us are more well educated and more competent than 99% of Crown Attorney's as well as most Judges.

Invite me on next time, because I am definitely going to invite you to every hearing I have planned on this matter. Also, you have inspired me to film my own "Hit Piece" about fear mongering and the complete lack of credibility and fair reporting in the media today.

As for "Dangerous", I'm only dangerous legally speaking. If you took five minutes to do any research aside from interviewing fat cops who lost a son in the USA and are now Malice driven to hate anyone who values freedom, you would see that in every video I have ever been in the the words that are the motto of free people are repeated are "DO NO HARM".

On the bright side, this will boost interest in this subject to no end. I should almost thank you for such biased garbage, like you people like to say in your make-believe world.. "There is no such thing as bad press".

Have yourself a good week.

Dean C. Clifford

I'm sure CBC edited out the important part of the interview where Rob provided evidence of his claims. Maybe he even showed a summary of a photocopy of a photo of a printout of an email this time.

Not to worry! I'm sure Rob'll be coming out with a fulsome raw-video-rebuttal showing the nefarious activities of the national broadcaster. :D

I agree with that, though much time was spent showing how those in OTHER COUNTRIES have been violent.

Know what I did not see? Any lawyer stating on the record that our perspective was wrong. No elected officials saying THEY have the right to govern without individual consent. The only cop who had the balls to speak, hid their face.

You can look at what was there, and what was not.
What was not there was any lawyer disputing our perspective.

I guess the CBC does not have lawyers eh?

;d

As someone involved in television, i can clear this up for you rob. This is the most likely scenario.

"Well, we can get one of our lawyer, but he wants to be paid extra to be an expert in this matter."

"What, for this guy? The guy that debunks himself? No, i don't think we will waste the cash."

Its like asking why the police don't call in the military for every person who threatens someone. They don't need to and its a waste of resources.

This ties in well with Rob's "They show violence in other countries." ramble.

That is like saying , "So what if the pin is pulled out of my grenade? The only grenades that have exploded have had their pins pulled by other people. "

Take a group of people in desperation, give them false hope, and watch them crack their skull open, beating their heads against a wall trying to get this false hope to work, and your guaranteed to get a bunch of ****** off lunatics with nothing to lose. That is not something that tends to end well.

I have just watched the report in full and it was far better than I had anticipated.
No point wasting time on Menards idiocy, just concentrate on the issues that FMOTL may bring.

I wonder what Menard really thinks now, surely he cant see this as a positive outcome, I bet he's shaking in his shoes, every time he sees a cop now his ring will slacken.

Enjoy your beer and spliffs Rob, but dont forget to dust off that letter that says you are a freeman and exempt from statutes, you are going to need it now.

Dean better make this threat stick, or somebody’s gonna' out him for the ineffective twerp he is.

These freeman boys like to brag and they like to threaten but by the time this boy figures out that it’s gonna’ take more than a camera and a white board to back up the CBC it will be too late.

I got two words for you, Deano. . “anger management”.
