CBC is airing the FOTL bit right now on the National:

Adrienne Arsenault has an eye-opening story about an American anti-government group and why Canada needs to be concerned.

Let's just say that didn't go so well for Menard.

I'm happy to say that Adrienne used a great deal of the material I sent her, including the document that she used to confront Menard.

Yes, I had extensive communication with her producer about all of this, and I am bragging about it. :D

Thank you! And none of you here seem to question the power of editing eh? lol

Unfortunately for them, we taped the whole interview, not just the edited parts you watched and will put together a piece showing the entire interview, and will compare it to what was broadcast.

But the good news is that (according to some here,) the FMOTL movement is 'dead in the water', right?

That is what was claimed repeatedly right?

I'm really looking forward to this too!

Among other things, the show exposed a new "success story" that I was previously unaware of. How much money did he give you, Menard?

Icky bob there approached us for help, he was told he was way way off. (Trying to squat in a house which he was allowed into based upon an agreement to buy) and THEN he rejected the Freeman perspective (do no harm, no fraud in contracts) and sought his own path. Then he paid for it.

His story is one of someone NOT accepting responsibility for his own actions. Notice how he tried to blame others for his own reality? His story is one of trying to harm and defraud.

Sucks to be him I guess....

Boy did they ever play into my hand though eh?

After a bit of sleuthing on Quicklaw, I have to disagree with one thing the show says. I don't think Rodney Wayne King was an FOTLer. He appears to have been a schizophrenic with religious delusions that led him to make FOTL-like claims about the applicability of Canadian law. He was found not criminally responsible for shooting the police officer and, to the best of my knowledge, remains involuntarily committed to a mental institution.

How unlike you to throw your customers under the bus when they publicly fail.

How like you to ignore the fact that he was not a customer, did not follow any suggestions, he followed his own path, and then tried to blame others for the reality HE created!

He asked us for help in squatting in that house. We said sorry you are wrong, don't do it. He said FU. But go ahead and blame me!

This is utterly at odds with the story he tells Adrienne.

I don't believe you because I know you are a liar. I believe him because his story is typical of your victims.

Incidentally, in my view, Ms. Arsenault treated FMOTL with far more professionalism and seriousness than it deserves. Perhaps journalism standards discourage laughing at your subject (although I appreciated the "sweetheart" stuff, which was a bit of a poke I think :D)?

I would note that I think she did a good job of not sensationalizing or overstating the threat of violence here in Canada (I agree that that threat is relatively low at this point.)

I agree with that, though much time was spent showing how those in OTHER COUNTRIES have been violent.

Know what I did not see? Any lawyer stating on the record that our perspective was wrong. No elected officials saying THEY have the right to govern without individual consent. The only cop who had the balls to speak, hid their face.

You can look at what was there, and what was not.
What was not there was any lawyer disputing our perspective.

I guess the CBC does not have lawyers eh?

;d
