Please do come back with some real evidence on your return. Alternatively please do pull a stunt like that "solicitors' letter"!! That one was an absolute cracker!

Oh yes, thinking back to your other recent comments, maybe you could give us a link to your new book, or those new revelations that you were talking about. I'm sure they'll be a real hoot as well!

Having gotten a his adoration fix at his February 19th “semenard” our subject is quite probably extending the buzz by self medication . . . which would account for the incredibly bad judgment involved in posting laughingly false claims of success on the Ickes forum, as well as the loose, ice spillin' repartee we see here.

so from post #1 to post #5205 not one piece of evidence in support of Menard's ideas actually working.......

Well of course. Obviously his brilliant plan is to act like a dumbass until someone else actually does something intelligent in his stead just like he had planned all along.

It seems to me he's taken a lesson from the 9/11 "No-Claimers"; just post "evidence", but make no comment on it. If people believe the evidence, he makes money off them, but if people challenge it, he can just back-peddle, and say, "Hey, I never claimed it was accurate evidence!"

It's the most intellectually bankrupt position he could possibly take, which actually goes quite well with most FoTLers' financial positions. :D

I am someone who has observed Menard and the silly "Freeloaders on the land" movement for years...in fact I made some of the first posts in this forum about it. Not trying to sound like a hipster skeptic (:D), to the contrary I think its great people are still debunking him here and everywhere else he spreads this poison. I gave up long ago, I just sit back and watch most of the time.

But what most absolutely amazes me is how breathtakingly stupid the Freeman crowd is when it comes to trying to defend their position. At no point has any of the hundreds of pages that 100% debunks this stuff ever made the argument "it cant be true because no solicitor believes in it." Assuming that the document is real and legitimate - which is a big assumption - finding some crank solicitor (or lawyer in the US) that supports Freeman mythology doesn't lend it any credence whatsoever, and no one has ever made the argument that it would. Its as if the nutters are having arguments with themselves now.

Its just like the tax protestors/sovereign citizen nutjobs in the US - I know there are a handful of conspiracy theorist nutjob lawyers who believe in it. That doesn't mean it has any relationship to reality. It just means that if you look hard enough, you find crazy people in every profession.

We've all been over again, and again, and again how easy it would be to silence all the critics and prove with 100% certainty that FOTL is real. All it takes is 1 court case, from any court, in any jurisdiction, stating that someone cannot be charged or found guilty for any crime due to being exempt from statute law which was upheld on appeal. We know such court opinions exist - for example, there are court opinions stating why certain types of income (IE income clergy earn in some states) are EXEMPT from TAX COLLECTION STATUTES. Thats because there are very limited and rare cases where indeed certain people can be exempt from certain statutory law. It just so happens none of those cases involved freeman mythology because freeman mythology is just that - a myth.

Ignore my above post, I didn't see the update on the David Icke forum that the evidence was "faked" (we knew it anyways, but its nice to have it confirmed by the law firm itself). Read this instead:

The whole "printed page stating McCann FitzGerald solicitor agrees with FMOTL principles" (which as the David Icke forum notes, is a total lie) debacle is just yet another example of FMTOL stupidity. The reason why its so incredibly stupid is that at no point has anyone ever claimed that the reason why FMOTL is a myth is because no solicitor agrees with it. Even if the document was real and some solicitor at some law firm believed in Rob's lies, finding some crank solicitor (or lawyer in the US) that supports Freeman mythology doesn't lend it any credence whatsoever, and no one has ever made the argument that it would. The fact that they trotted out this fake piece of evidence just shows they dont have any real evidence.

Its just like the tax protestors/sovereign citizen nutjobs in the US - I know there are a handful of conspiracy theorist nutjob lawyers who believe in it. If I looked hard enough, I could get a statement from some lawyer on genuine law firm letter head that FMOTL is real too. The fact that I could find a lawyer nutty enough to do that doesn't actually prove anything regarding the merits of FMOTL mythology. It just means that if you look hard enough, you find crazy people in every profession.

Its staggering the level which Menard will stoop to try and make a few bucks, he thinks nothing of taking money from mentally unstable people (Lance Thatcher) and he has the brass neck to talk about honouring contracts and do no harm.

He ,like most criminals is prepared to lie and cheat and duck and dive to get what he wants, this thread was originally conman or clown and as it has progressed Menard has shown himself to be both and a whole lot more.

I see Menard is back on warning at Ickes. I wonder if that firm of solicitors has been in touch?

Merlincove will probably still think it's a conspiracy against Menard though.

I think you are all missing the point here.
FOTL method.

1. Shaft an innocent business be it restaurant or in this case law firm.

2. Don't feel you should care about any possible negative ramifications for your actions on that business.

3. Let others point out the lies in your original action.

4. Claim that was all part of your 'cunning plan' and and use 'chess' and 'The Art of War' as your rationale.

This obviously all adds up to yet another FOTL SUCCESS!

Brilliant!

The Campaign Against the Household Charge, spearheaded by People Before Profit TD Richard Boyd Barrett, has advised the public to ignore the information in the emails and leaflets, saying it is legally incorrect.

Spokesman Gregor Kerr said the group contacted McCann Fitzgerald after realising the false information had gone viral.

"The campaign is very concerned that people are believing this information," said Mr Gregor.

"It's very important that in standing together we will resist this charge, with mass co-operation in the communities. The information in these emails goes against what the campaign stands for."

He said the memo advises people to simply ignore the charge.

"We're asking people to stand up and tell the Government they are not going to pay it, to attend meetings and to say you stand with your neighbours," he went on.

Mr Gregor added that he believes several hundred thousand households will not register for the tax - both in protest and because they cannot afford it.

"It's impossible for the Government to take those people to court because the court system is chock-a-block," he said.

"And if anyone is summoned to court, they can rest assured they will not be going alone as we will use that as an opportunity for a mass protest."

So here we have a group that is clearly opposed to this tax, wants everyone to refuse to pay the tax, is publicly endorsing civil disobedience to protest the tax, but who still say right up front that the FoTL arguments are BS.

Forget smackdowns by the courts, because they're "in on it"; this right here shows how much crap the FoTL position is.
