The Incredible odds of fulfilled bible prophecy

DOC I direct you to a common creationist defense against criticism against the ages in the bible: When confronted with the medical impossibility of the ages of the patriarchs in the bible the common defense is that the ancient peoples measured years differently because they mistook seasons for a year. This is a reverse of the stance of "a day as in a thousand years" crap they try with the 'seven days of creation'.

Both lines of reasoning are unmitigated nonsense. While it is true that the calendars used by ancient Babylon, the calendar that Noah would have been using had he actually existed, the years were still 360 days long. That's 5 1/4 less days than the Gregorian calendar currently in use in much of the modern world.

A year by the season type calendar has never existed anywhere in the world, ever. Period. The reason why? The ancient peoples weren't morons.

But for the sake of argument let's say that this is true. The Patriarchs would have still had unnaturally long lives far exceeding that of modern times and that would mean that (according to this book of yours) human lifespan would never exceed 30 years.

Funny how it reflexively applies to all of your arguments you have made in attempt to support biblical prophecy.

How do you know 120 years was meant as a maximum and not an average life?

How do you know Matthew 16:28 referred to the resurrection when Matthew 16:27 contradicts such a view?

It's in the post: Isaiah 20:4. Here it is again; note the emphasis:

. . . so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians captives and the Ethiopians exiles, both young and old, naked and bare foot, with buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

The time frame is determined by history, as I already pointed out. The capitol of the Assyrian Empire, Nineveh, fell in 612 BCE. Thus, the prophecies against Egypt in Isaiah 19 and 20 referred to that time. Read my post again. You obviously missed a lot the first time through.
