Hello all,
Diabetes may start in the intestines, research suggests
"Scientists at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have made a surprising discovery about the origin of diabetes. Their research suggests that problems controlling blood sugar — the hallmark of diabetes — may begin in the intestines"
https://news.wustl.edu/news/Pages/23409.aspx
Above is new research article. Many other sites suggest inflammation link with Insulin resistance. If so;
1. Whether persisting high blood glucose(BG) levels are attributed to inflammation/infection oriented chronically stimulation of SNS(sympathetic nervous system--fight or flight response)? If yes, whether developing neuropathy/dysatonomia control BG levels?
2. Whether anti inflammatory/antimicrobials help to control BG levels?
3. How GUT environment is related to BG levels?
Best wishes.
