3.) Child labor laws were non existent.

Ad hoc rationaliztion. Correlation = causation fallacy. There is no evidence of a link between Roman culture and the fall of Rome. Further, many pious societies have fallen. Your conclusion is entirely unfounded.

Whenever someone uses the naturalistic fallacy, in any situation, I can't help but think of a letter that Jane Austen wrote to her sister Cassandra in 1799, where she agonizes over what decorations to place on her hat: "I cannot help thinking that it is more natural to have flowers grow out of the head than fruit. What do you think on that subject?"

Revulsion is disgust. It is loathing. It is hatred. You make a distinction without a difference. Look it up.

Maybe you should really consider why you feel such revulsion for people you don't really know and who don't really affect you. They're just people, like you. Maybe you have more in common with gay people than you think. Maybe that's what you're afraid of.

Are you sure about that? Statistically speaking, the chances are fairly good that somebody you know well is a closeted homosexual.
