The Genesis Seal

No. Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln have no idea where the basic ideas came from that led to their interesting, but flawed Magdalene hypothesis.

How about you actually showing your cards about how history was effected by the Genesis Seal ?

Are you embarrassed by your source?

Can you point me in the direction of a good explanation of this 'corndogs' thing?

I already did. Go have a look at the ET Corn Gods site. (a quick google seach will take you where you need to go.) He came here, much as you did, claiming an unassailable nugget of wisdom, brought to him directly from the gods. Unsurprisingly, it was sown that his miracle translations could be applied to anything, much as has been done here. It ended up in a rather amusing attempted lawsuit, and remains one of the long standing jokes here on the forum.

The usual come-back is: If the Genesis Seal is a new discovery on my part, how can it have affected history? To which I have already replied that historical pressures have tended to lead to knowledge of the Seal's existence falling into obscurity. Those pressures are often driven by a fragile Establishment, such as the mediaeval Church of Rome, that persecuted anyone who dared to hold up the heretical Genesis Seal as a challenge to the Apostolic Succession on which the Church's 'God-given' authority is founded.

That is not evidence that is the dragon in my garage ate the homework.

Despite their wild enthusiasm for the emergent content it displays, none of it comes close to matching the consistency of the Genesis Seal in its visually arresting combinations of emergent content.

Crap.

Visually arresting? That's what you think is a rational argument? Is 2+2=4 consistent and visually arresting? Some would say yes.. some no. It's a completely subjective statement based only on your delusional fascination with it. No one here considers it visually arresting. You are just doing the delusional person's version of staring at clouds.

Besides, the second strand of my hypothesis is barely acknowledged at all. This is where I conjecture that others in the past may have stumbled upon the same effect, interpreting it as a divine revelation from the creator to whom the source text refers. I am presently working up a series of posts that show evidence of this possibility. The usual come-back is: If the Genesis Seal is a new discovery on my part, how can it have affected history? Again with that?

1. Medieval authors wrote down thousands of examples of your seal and other thematic and numerological manipulations of the bible. Not only did the Church not prosecute them, it embraced most of them. Trying to find secret messages in the Bible was one of the most popular hobbies of the Church in the middle ages.

2. You have yet to prove any of your historical statements.

3. In an earlier post you stated that your evidence would be anecdotal... ergo not actual evidence... and then refused to ever actually present any.

Face facts... you don't have evidence, you just see messages from God in your alphabet soup (or the more boring equivalent Genesis Seal). At least alphabet soup would be nutritious.

Again I will ask you to please go see a qualified mental health professional. What you are doing here is a waste of time at best. At worst, you are losing touch with reality more and more. Get some help and let your obsession relax for a while.

Some of my most severe critics have elected to use the 8x8 random matrix devised by MRC_Hans as a rough and ready comparator. Despite their wild enthusiasm for the emergent content it displays, none of it comes close to matching the consistency of the Genesis Seal in its visually arresting combinations of emergent content.

Incomprehensible gibberish.

I too have found a Genesis Seal......

On topic, I can never understand why people believe there are codes if a deity wants us to understand, why not just come out and say it, they are never too forward in their books, so goes right against the grain from the start. Was a deity the first thing to come up with a cryptic crossword?

As mentioned numerous times by others, finding patterns where there are none is something humans seemed to have done since we evolved. I could think of many more constructive things to do with my time than sit around devising some magical decoder. If the original poster is stuck for things to do, he/she is more than welcome to come and paint my spare room for me, there might even be a few quid in it for him/her.

This corndog business... anyone got a link? Sounds like a fun thread.

Sadly, I think the thread was sent to deep storage due to the lawsuit. But if you google ET Corn Gods you can not only find the site (it's really amazing stuff!) but also a page about the lawsuit. Have fun! (I was trying to find it to show my son when he started reading this thread, because it was before his time here...)

The whole saga was really very instructive about how obsession with this kind of word game can really get out of control and be very destructive to the obsessed individual. (Yes, that means you, Kingfisher.)
