I loved Ketchum's reply. She doesn't even know a "gait" from a "gate" and we're supposed to trust her with handling DNA for the cryptozoological find of the century? Laughable.

This is my favorite Bigfoot film ever! Holy cow the balls to do this !!! I guess they are gonna try any tactics to get tourists over there eh?

I love the classic movie gorilla shake the cage back and forth move !

This is so bad even the loons on the BFF are admitting it's a hoax! (and many of them think that Bigfoot is a ghost and an alien and psychic and connected with flying intelligent plasma spheres !(no I am not making that up))

Turns out it was a Publicity Stunt for the local animal park that does a benefit for low income kids and orphans. (they are going to have talking animals as well as the guy in a yeti suit)

Nothing to see here.

But it looked like a real Bigfoot and everything, it had the proper size cube head and swayed back and forth, i should know cause i seen the real ones in the Ivan Mark's film and not only that some people on the BigFootForums mailed me pictures of real ones they feed all the time ~ It's just sad this subject is not taken seriously.

You call yourself skeptics? You can't recognize a cover story when you see one?

Teh Russians are obviously hiiding the fact the have bigfoot until they can exploit the alien bigfoot technology.:boxedin:

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and the more I learned about biology the less I believed in Bigfoot. We have scat, fur, remains and kills from cougars and grey wolves, both of which are highly rare; I've SEEN a bobcat just off of I-90 in Issaquah, which is not all that rural; you can hear coyotes howl and find their tracks. I just don't believe that if there was a big bipedal animal living out in the woods, we'd still have no real evidence.

It will be interesting to see how the Bigfoot Believers deal with the issue of cellphones with GPS systems. It seems ridiculous that so many people can have reported seeing what would be a fantastic and history-making discovery, and yet don't note the location on a map and get a team to set up camera traps and scour the area for sign. Now that you can get your location firmly placed, there's no more "it was somewhere in this area" excuse.

We can and have filmed tigers, jaguars, even snow leopards in their native habitat with more than just some grainy, unequivocable footage. Given the apparent size of the BF population, it's ridiculous that no hard evidence has been found by now.

My favorite animal is the okapi--sometimes called the forest giraffe--which is the last large land mammal found by science. It was believed to be mythical until a sample was sent in from Africa at the start of the 20th century. It lives in the African rain forest, one of the least-accessible areas in the world...and we have a number in captivity, lots of tracks and droppings, hair samples, etc. The okapi not only shows that there have been 'cryptids' that turned out to be real; it shows that even with the much more limited tools of a hundred years ago, we could catch one.

I think the BF enthusiasts like the UFO fans will get no respect until they stand up and denounce the obvious and/or demonstrated frauds; then, if they truly can winnow down to a score or so of really 'reliable' sightings, they need to launch a competent biological expedition. God knows Discovery Channel or the like would be happy to fund it. But the current TV efforts are bad science and laughably credulous.

One more question that never seems to get attention from the BF fans: Where is the evidence of feeding? Where are the signs of foraging, the partial kills, the midden heaps, the lower population of prey animals that would occur with predation? Where are the baby Bigfoot bones in the scat of large predators? or of scavengers?

I could go on, but I won't. I'd like for there to be a great ape in the Northwest, but the evidence just isn't there, and the absence of truly focussed, reasonable attempts to find that evidence are lacking, too.

Game over, dudes. Find another chimera to chase.

Just my thoughts, MK

Leading Ohio footer Don Keating steps down, has interesting description of "tracks":
After investigating the Bigfoot phenomenon for more than three decades, Newcomerstown native Don Keating is turning over leadership of the Tri-State Bigfoot Study Group to his hand-chosen successor.

While Keating is not totally withdrawing from the search for Bigfoot, he wants to devote more time to his interest in meteorology and weather, having founded “Ohio Weather” and ohiowx.com in late 2010.
...The 49-year-old has found what he calls “interesting artifacts in the ground.” Although he knows some to be fake, others tracks appear to be real.
I'm glad someone (besides me) has decided to describe certain impressions in the ground as something closer to what they actually are.
