I didn't see a thread on this article. It's a few months old and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about it. On its face, this woman sounds like another Sybel Edmonds.

Susan Lindauer Reveals Facts about 9/11 Warning
Tuesday, 3 March 2009, 10:28 am
Column: Michael Collins

By Michael Collins

I first wrote about Susan Lindauer's struggle against the Bush-Cheney regime in October 2007, "American Cassandra: Susan Lindauer's Story." This was initially published in "Scoop" Independent Media (complete series) and carried by a wide variety of concerned Internet news sites and blogs. This interview follows the full dismissal of charges against her just before President Obama's inauguration on January 20, 2009 . This is the first in depth interview that Lindauer has offered regarding 911. Below is part one of the interview.

I asked Ms. Lindauer to make her own statement about why she's willing to go into detail now about 911 and the governments handling of pre 911 intelligence.

"For five years, I was the poster child for President Bush's retaliation against Americans who opposed his War Policy in Iraq. In March, 2004 the Justice Department indicted me for acting as an "unregistered Iraqi Agent" (not espionage), because I delivered a prescient letter to my second cousin, Andy Card, former Chief of Staff to President Bush, warning of the dire consequences of War.

"More dangerously, I had decided to talk. In February, 2004 I approached the senior staff of Senators Trent Lott and John McCain and asked to testify in front of the new blue ribbon Presidential Commission on Iraqi Pre-War Intelligence. Within a month, I was astounded to wake up one morning to hear FBI agents pounding on the door of my house in Maryland with an arrest warrant.

"The indictment called me "Symbol Susan." It was a bizarre notation unsupported by any evidence or action in the indictment. It did however have one crucial purpose?to communicate a warning that anybody breaking ranks from the Bush White House should expect to be brutally crushed like I was.To speak the truth under President George Bush was the worst crime of all. It was treason.

'But what exactly was the U.S. government trying to hide?

"The answer is more far reaching than you would expect. In the first article of this series written and edited with the help of Michael Collins, we talk about the 9/11 warning that my team delivered to the Office of Counter-Terrorism at the Justice Department in August, 2001.

"For those who think you've heard the whole story of 9/11, you might be surprised."

Another person that is trying to make out what they know to be more than it really is, I am guessing.

I am sure the truthers will pedestal her up as a saint.

From wiki

In 2006 she was released from prison after Michael B. Mukasey ruled that Lindauer was unfit to stand trial but that she could not be forced to take antipsychotic medication to make her competent to stand trial. In 2008 Loretta A. Preska of the Federal District Court in New York City reaffirmed that Lindauer was mentally unfit to stand trial.

Dismissal of charges? Shee sounds like a nut.

The judge cited the testimony of a government psychiatrist who said that Ms. Lindauer claimed to have special powers and that she had indicated she once met with Osama bin Laden, who disclosed to her the location of a bomb. The judge said that demonstrated “a lack of connection with reality.”

As far as I can see, there are two specific allegations.

The first is that a warning was delivered in August 2001 that an attack was planned on Manhattan, and possibly the WTC, using airplanes and possibly nuclear weapons, and that this was planned as some kind of tribute to the Lockerbie bombing. There doesn't seem to have been much more than that. We know there were many intelligence warnings prior to 9/11 that something was being planned; this sounds like just one more piece of actionable intelligence.

The second is that a former CIA operative told her, within 30 minutes of the WTC crashes, that Mossad must have had prior warning of the attacks, based on his interpretation of the fact that some people were able to video the attacks and their aftermath. This is a piece of hearsay describing one individual's interpretation of events, and sounds like another variant of the Dancing Israelis story.

What's also significant is that Lindauer doesn't seem to question al-Qaeda and OBL's responsibility for the attacks. At worst, this is on the borderline between LIHOP and LIHOI, and all fits in rather well with the findings of the 9/11 Commission.

Susan Lindauer has intensely bizarre delusions that don't make her incompetent to function normally in the real world. She is related to Andy Card, Bush's chief of staff, (they're second cousins or the like), and she's honestly convinced of many, many things that simply aren't true. Due to her contacts with the Iraqi government before the second Gulf War, the FBI arrested her for being an unregistered agent of the Iraqis (she was writing Card and pleading to intercede between the U.S. and Saddam).

However, because of her delusions, she's simply been exploited by group after group for what she says or claims she can do. The Iraqis genuinely thought she could plead their case with Bush, until they met her in person and appeared to have dropped her like a hot rock. The FBI grabbed her up in the buildup and aftermath of the invasion, but quickly discovered her illness and then tried to sweep her arrest under the rug. In an unreal twist, though, Lindauer herself managed to find support among the 9/11 Truth Movement, other antiwar activists, and anti-psychology snake-oil salespeople to stretch out her proceedings, forcing the government to try her.

And then there's Michael Collins, a small-time pundit/journalist on the edges of the Internet media, who writes screeds about how Democrats and Republicans are really just one big happy Money party. He's latched onto Lindauer and breathlessly publishes anything she wishes him to print, as long as the revelations are lurid and the byline is his.

She is not another Sibel Edmonds, however. Sibel doesn't suffer from clinically diagnosed bizarre delusions.

"For those who think you've heard the whole story of 9/11, you might be surprised."
Why did she fail to surprise anyone? They make up a loaded statement and it never goes off.

Not so fast. Before anyone says anything about Susan Lindauer without reading her book, they're not even in the game. Her fully referenced book, entitled "Extreme Prejudice", is an excellent eye-opener.

And for those who refer to her as a nut case, they are just ignorant, flat-out wrong.

Now, of course, if you're not really a reader, I guess you JUST WON'T GET IT...her informed conclusion on 9/11 is = LIHOP!

To reiterate, until you read "Extreme Prejudice", to quote from "Deliverance", "You don't know nothin!" about Susan Lindauer nor what she has to say.

YouTube doesn't even scratch the surface as to what's in the book...

Why don't you enlighten us to the earth shaking evidence that seems to have not caught on in the last year or so since the book came out?

I quit after seeing the President and Vice Presidents term being referred to as a "regime".

That almost screams "thoughtless douchebag" more than a Guy Fawkes mask.

Almost.

And on the nth+1 day, the thread rises from the dead...
For those who like crazy claims, she connects the dots, for the Pulitzer Prize, she failed.

To reiterate, for those who like crazy claims she proved 911 was LIHOP, but it was LIHOP by UBL and 19 terrorists.

Why did she fail to earn a Pulitzer? She is paranoid, and paranoid people will accept her book as evidence for their delusional claims on 911.

You came with talk, no substantive support for her fiction. Not a single effort to support the nonsense, only talk.

If you read her book and claim LIHOP, "you don't know nothin!" and it shows with your zero back up information method of support for your ideas, for her book claims.

Another hit and run away post. Exposing the big LIHOP, but doing nothing, zip, zero, to take action and expose the Big LIHOP breakthrough. Hit, run, never do.

...

I haven't read the book.

Could you provide a short synopsis and include quick answers to the basics?
  • What's the "it" in Let "It" Happen On Purpose?
  • Who are the top responsible people who let that "It" happen on purpose?
  • What was their purpose?
  • Where is the bulk of the evidence?
Thanks.

Anybody who uses the term "(American presidents name) regime" in the first sentence of the first paragraph isn't worthy of giving a read as their bias is plain on its face and apparently they either aren't afraid to let other people know it or don't even realize how it makes them sound to the rational people of the world. If they can't even reign it in long enough to use the proper term "Administration" then I think that they should spend some time in a true "Regime" and see how it's really done.

Sounds an interesting book.. I find it strange truthers and nutcases alike flock to read this book, yet most never dare to pick up a copy of the 9/11 report or the NIST reports.. willful ignorance?

I haven't read the book.

I started to read it about a year ago, this review is on par with what I thought of it.

Amazon.com said:
My goal for purchasing this book: I wanted a book that analyzed the errors, omissions, deceptions, wrongdoings, negligence, etc. of the previous administration in connection with the Iraq War and the events leading up to the Iraq War. Based on the prior reviews, I believed "Extreme Prejudice" might be a good candidate to fill this need. Unfortunately, Ms. Lindauer's book disappoints. I had hoped the primary subject of her book would be the deception of the Bush administration. However, Ms. Lindauer's primary subject is really herself. She comes across as self-indulgent, paranoid, and a little bit ..."off." The writing is not bad (not great, either), but her constant self-referencing and "how could they do this to me; I'll show them!!!" diatribes get distracting.

The policies and practices leading up to the Iraq War are a serious subject, and people have a right to ask questions about what happened. However, any writer taking it upon herself to answer these questions should have a bit more detachment. I can't fault her for it, on a personal level, since she apparently went through a nightmare at the hands of the previous administration. However, her experiences clearly undermine her ability to weave together her very important story.

In addition, within 40 pages of the book, she lets the reader know that she has "psychic abilities" and that one of her assets had a talent for "precognition." This may work for some readers but doesn't get the job done for me.

Like many CIA informants, she was a nutjob.

From what I read about her, she has had pretty serious mental issues since the age of 7, and her previous co-workers and friends described her as erratic and extremely moody, and also that she thought she was a psychic/clairvoyant, and that she (long before she allegedly was stalked by the CIA) had paranoic fears.
I also read an interview with her brother, who seriously thought she`d gone around the bend, but that it wasn´t really that shocking to him , since he recognized this from their common childhood, where she had psychotic episodes.
