My anecdotal claims

Well, a problem only if kundalini does in fact exist.

Whatever it is, is most definitely exists. Whatever it is, it goes by various names in various mystical traditions because it is a universal common denominator. Mystics have been experiencing it and using various metaphors to describe it for thousands and thousands of years. From different metaphors come different religions.

There are a variety of psychological postures one can take toward it that will eventually get results. For instance, as that of an inner pilgrimage to a mountain top. Or that of a hidden precious pearl. Or a Goddess. Or a Divine energy. Or a personal Holy Grail quest. Or a wedding feast. And so on. The metaphor varies but the adventure is the same. Hence, the monomyth pattern. It practically lays it all out for all to see.

“Furthermore, we have not even to risk the adventure alone; for the heroes of all time have gone before us, the labyrinth is fully known; we have only to follow the thread of the hero-path. And where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence; where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world.” -Joseph Campbell

It may well be. Im not sure of its origins. I doubt "cock" is an expletive in this context, as if it were the sentence would not parse correctly.

That's my story, and Im sticking to it. :)
Ah, maybe similar to 'poppycock'? And, I dunno if it's my course American sensibilities, but it can certainly parse correctly with the expletive version... :eye-poppi

'A load of cock' means 'a load of nonsense' Poppycock comes from the Dutch pappekak, soft excrement,

Mind explaining why?

The sound of one hand clapping must logically be the sound produced when a single hand claps.

[...]

Where is my error?

Your error is in assuming that logic is the key to unlocking the riddle.

So in other words, the purpose of riddles it to prevent revelation to the average person?

Why can't you have revelation without riddles?

Because a mystic can't become privy to heavenly secrets without reaching a certain mystical milestone. The very same milestone that would enable a mystic to solve their riddle thus showing that he or she has transcended mundane modes of thought and ordinary levels of consciousness long enough to grok something of gnosis.

Instead of using esoteric, in-group, teenybopper lingo, how about expressing yourself in concrete language?

And how about some evidence for the effluvia you've been posting up? Any little bit.

The mystical experience curdles your brain and sets your apparent age forever at 16.

There does seem to be a teenage "I know everything there is to know about the world and if you don't see things my way you're a dumb ass" element to it.

How do you independently verify you've actually broken the limits of reality? Do you have witnesses, video recordings, instrument readings, ect?

Well this might come as a surprise but I don't live in a lab. Except for a few paranormal experiences per year, my life is pretty normal. My life is like a philosophical experiment. And being married to a scientist helps.

You verify something by studying unverified claims?
In that case, how do you verify your verification?

It sounds like perfect conditions for confirmation bias to me.

There's much more to it than that. Hard to explain. If you care to familiarize yourself with those fields we could discuss it further.

Some people might argue that genuinely believing that you literally became God, as well as genuinely believing that you were picked by a goddess as her champion to battle and defeat an evil tyrant god on another plane of existence, are both extremely egotistical delusions.

Well duh. Lucky for me I don't care what people think.

Given that our understanding of the universe is heavily based on independently verifiable empirical evidence, while yours is based heavily on personal experience, it seems to us that it's much more likely that you are simply deluded than the bearer of some special knowledge.

Your understanding of the universe is more fragile than you seem to think bub.

Until you can demonstrate that you're not merely deluded, why should we endeavor to become more like you?

Heaven forbid that everyone endeavor to become more like me.

I can always count on your destroying about one irony meter per week.

More if you're on a roll as in this thread.

To it? No, that would be an element to me not to 'the mystical experience'.

If you look back to the context of tsig's post you will see that is what I said.

ETA: It would refer to mysticism and the way you are asserting it.

Who cares what way I am asserting it. This is the internet. Not a spring-time tea party. If the skepticism movement has a problem with the way I assert myself then it needs to stop worrying about the speck in my eye and start worrying about the plank in its eye.
