Please elaborate on the relevance of this example to your claimed mystical experiences. Off the bat, one key difference that I can see is that your mystical insights could well make falsifiable claims. If they don't then you may cast such notions aside and get on with things in the apparent ouchy-hurty "real" world , as Neo did.
Dreams are inconsistent, and flaky--they jump from topic to topic at a thought. When I wake up, the world is very consistent, and organized. The drastic difference between the two is one of the reasons for formulating the concept of a dream.When you wake up from a dream, how do you know that you aren't simply wrapped in another dream?
