My anecdotal claims

You die then get torn apart. Check.
You get dragged to inner hell. Check.
Then you get another life. Check.

Why the hell and tearing between lives?

Where does Limbo get this crap from?

And after a cup of coffee in the morning my senses sharpen and my cognition heightens but I suppose your experience of the world is much more special than mine. I guess you achieve some profound insights into the true nature of the world? If so, how do you verify these insights? They could just be products of your own mind that do not provide any useful understandings of the world.

Yeah, I achieved some profound insights. I verify them by testing and breaking the limits of reality. I verify them by studying comparative religion, comparative mythology, and comparative mysticism. These fields are vital to understanding religion and yet few religious people study them all or even one. I've been studying them for years. One thing has led to another ever since my early experiences. I've been driven to try to understand them, knowing that the glib explanations skeptics put forth can't begin to do justice to them, and neither could the dogmatic and orthodox explanations the religious fundamentalists put forth.

Perhaps the purpose of riddles is to keep mystical knowledge out of the hands of the uninitiated?

No, the purpose of riddles is to sharpen the mind. Mysticism dulls the mind with its fabricated fantasy world.

I really feel sorry for mystics. The real universe is a wonderful place.

You're not driven to understand anything because this made-up world you've fashioned allows you to fabricate whatever explanation suits your fancy.

Your mysticism is drivel.

Have you ever been in a state of kundalini rapture and noticed how all your senses sharpen and how your cognition heightens?

Of course you haven't. But I have.

No one has, it's drivel.

After a potent cup of Turkish coffee, which brought my mental abilities to near full operational power, I preformed a remote deep mind probe on you, exploring these experiences that you speak of but unfortunately you have failed to discover anything of real value. Abandon your ego and try again grasshopper.

I did abandon my ego. When I became God.

Limbo's greatest hits...

I could point you in the right direction so that you could open up your own psi, but that means you would have to read books that I recommend. There is just no way around learning.
Translation:
"U r ignorant. Lern moar. Then I can haz chance to tell u u r doing it wrong!"

See if it resonates with your external circumstances.
Translation:
"Teh name startz wiff an L, Larry? Lester?"

Unfortunately for skeptics, disbelief is psi-inhibitive.
Translation:
"U r looking at teh wrong end. LOOK OVER THERE!"

The trickster archetype is like a psychic reflex in the collective unconscious. It is triggered by psychic ability. You can't have psi without the trickster, just like you can't have sense without nonsense, can't have good without evil, can't have Revelation without riddles.
Translation:
"You spin me round baby, right round, like a record baby, round round..."

Because people become God, then God becomes eternity, then eternity becomes the past, then the past shapes people.
Translation:
"Then shapes become carrots, then carrots become hamsters in the past, then time invents Spock, who becomes God. Or something."

the nature of reality is collective consciousness. You can confirm that yourself by transforming your own consciousness and seeing what happens.
Translation:
"U can comez in if u haz a ticket.. U can buyz a ticket inside. Haz a nice day."

People with mundane belief-systems tell me that the things I have experienced are impossible. So then I rule their belief-system out.
Translation:
"I can't hear u." :boxedin:

Have you ever been in a state of kundalini rapture and noticed how all your senses sharpen and how your cognition heightens?
Translation:
"Would u like to cum back to my place?"

And the One Quote to Bind them all:
Perhaps the purpose of riddles is to keep mystical knowledge out of the hands of the uninitiated?
Here the mysticism hand is revealed: You are uninitiated, you won't understand. Only I have the mystical knowledge.
IOW: U r doing it wrong.

Sigh.

If you try that on me, promise to restrict it to a mind probe only?

Yeah, about that. You are not really a god either.

Actually, I sort of am. From a certain mystical perspective that is. But I try not to let it go to my head. Unfortunately I have a temper and little patience for fools. I'm working on it. My time here at JREF has helped with that.

And the day your magical consciousness can heal the sick, or feed the hungry, or build a better mousetrap, or even something as mundane as keep the stinkbugs off my tomato plants, it will matter.

Until then, it's just meaningless babble.

Fortunately for Limbo, the excuses are built into his belief system:

1) He's surrendered his power to the infinite so he won't be tempted to go over to the dark side, and

2) If he did any of those helpful things, the sausage of magic would squish evil stuff out the other end, so the benefits would be offset by the negativity and/or he doesn't want to be the cause of evil in the world, and

3) So often people ask him to do this stuff on days when he's decided to wash his hair instead of being God, and

4) Even if he did ignore those extremely significant considerations and decide to try to help, our skepticism would kill his beautiful magic and nothing would work.

It's a truly ingenious structure that allows him to completely sidestep any requirements to provide evidence for what he says, since it basically boils down to, "I would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling skeptics."

And he just keeps telling himself that, so everything's lovely in his garden (that would be the one with the fairies at the bottom.)

Actually, I sort of am. From a certain mystical perspective that is.

No, you're not, and fantasizing that you are seems dangerous from any perspective. I'm not kidding, it's not good.
