I just heard about this the other day...people who believe that there were no planes involved...

...but how the hell does Santa deliver all his gifts every year then? With a magic sleigh? *guffaw*

Personally, I'd suggest that you not rely on Santa, and instead volunteer to be a JREF Forums Secret Santa! Only two days left to join in!

This just in....conspiracy theorist are complete idiots. But yes this is a persistent theory on the fringes of the 9/11 CT spectrum. You're pretty late because I heard of the theory YEARS ago. :p CT's give religion a run for it's money when it comes to delusions one is willing to believe.
 
If you want a real laugh, look up their belief in space lasers destroying the WTC.
 
I spent some "quality time" at Delusional Idiots Forum with the nope lamers. The biggest proponent at the time was a user named "kooskoets" who I suspect to be the actual Ace Baker. I pointed out that in the youtube video titled "all known footage of second impact" (google it) there are shots from nearly every possible angle, at distances ranging from just under the building to over 5 miles away showing a consistent set of information.

I asked if every single one of these was faked, and how the Ebil Doooers managed to prevent any of the approximately 5 million potential witnesses from filming the impact.

I registered here to nominate his answer for a stundie:
"Filming a smoking tower just doesn't make sense ... what idiot would get out a cam. instead of a cup of coffee ?" -- kooskoets

Best part: he's reasserted this attitude several times in the following year.

NYC - a town crawling with tourists with every sort of camera and video recorder known to mankind - they would film a trash can fire much less TWO BURNING SKYSCRAPERS!

What bugs me about the no-planers is that they confidently and smugly state, "They used holograms." Like that meant anything! You might as well say they used Phasic Shielding, or cast a first-level Illusion spell.

There is such a thing as holography. It is a well-described technology. The unknown technology to make a phantom airplane appear in mid-air in broad daylight has yet to be described or explained, however.

But, really, it's the same riff every snake-oil salesman from Pyramid Power fanatics to Deepak Chopra uses; appropriate a technical or scientific term, and use it bereft of its actual meaning to fool other people into thinking there is actually science behind your asinine assertions.


(I think one of the reasons it really bugs me is I run into clients in my work who have memorized a few technical terms without the underlying understanding, and think that gives them the ability to tell ME how long a job will take or how much it will cost.)
 
OK, this is hilarious. Wolfman is spamming the Secret Santa thing and you guys just see "no planers" and go off talking about that instead of looking at the rest of the post.

I was getting really annoyed with his posts, but this makes it for me.

After the responses from Greedo and Juniversal and Robrob and ApolloGnomon and nomuse I was beginning to think I must be drunk or on drugs or I simply stopped understanding the English language. It seemed far easier that I read the OP wrong rather than all of them. But they did. Wasn't the first clue that this isn't the 9/11 Conspiracy Theories section?

And to address the OP, how could a sleigh deliver all those toys and still wind up in pristine condition? Magic sleigh it is.

Actually my theory is not that there are no planes it's that there are no reindeer. The magic sleigh has two tiny jet engines on it that are fueled by super-duper-North-Pole-extra-nano-thermite. The reindeer are simply holograms.

I'm also led to understand that "ho ho ho" is North Polish for "pull it".

I have to admit, of all the bait-and-switch Secret Santa posts I made, this was the one that I was most curious to see what the response was. :rolleyes:
