Can "Voice Stress Analysis" Detect Lies?

Doubt it. For two reasons. First, ANY lie detection system can only tell if you're saying something you don't believe, which isn't the same as saying something that's not true. Second, there are people who are just good at lying--either it doesn't bother them, or merely speaking does so it's impossible to tell, or they've got lots of practice at public speaking. It's just another stress test, and if he's not stressed it'd give a false negative.
 
Like lie detectors, they can be beaten, and also give false positives. Plus not knowning a lie is a lie would fail to trigger a stress pattern. It make work for a large percentage of the population, but it is not fool proof
 
Polygraphs are well-known as junk science no matter what they purport to measure.
