Merged The "official story" meme.

Gee, this "official story" does seem to be pretty elusive as to exactly what it is, who wrote it, what makes it official and where we can we find a copy.

If calling it "official story" as 911 CT cults do, isn't just a attempt to dishonestly imply that what happened, what the experts and investigations all concluded, what people experienced that day and what most people perceive happened that day from their experiences, is all just some cover story that was dictated to all of them, then what is it?
 
Nowhere in this thread has anyone mentioned the media - newspapers, network news, cable outlets, wire services, web content providers. As the major communication mode concerning the story of 9/11, any discussion of what "official story" means should include the media, in addition to the published 9/11 Commission Report and the NIST Reports.

My major gripe with using the term "official story" is that in conveying the events of commonly accepted story, the media thus becomes the provider of that story. Therefore it paints the media as part of what is "Official", and thus broadens the conspiracy even further.

If you are going to make the media part of what is "Official", then show me definitive proof of how the media has become an "Official" body.
 
The deception over John Farmer's quote is a perfect example of how the term "official" gets misinterpreted.

That was when the publisher said of his book that ""Farmer builds the inescapably convincing case that the official version not only is almost entirely untrue but serves to create a false impression of order and security".

To most truthers, "official version" means the 9/11 Commission, so therefore Farmer must be criticising it, just like them.

But no. Farmer was talking about the position of various government bodies and officials immediately after the attacks: the first NORAD timelines, say. He believes the Commission exposed this "official version" as false, and presented what really happened.

So, again, terms like "official story" or "official version" really don't mean very much. If someone's thinking about a particular report or statement then they need to say that, to make sure everyone knows what they're talking about.

It is. thats why I call them twoofers. The word Truth is just being used to deceive just as it is in The USSRs Pravda, Orwells 1984 and Christianity.

Calling them truthers is a lie, 911 truth spread lies, not truth. They call themselves truth, not lies. What would you call yourself if you were spreading lies you want people to fall for? Liars? No. Truthers? Yes.

911 truth is dishonest.

At least I have taken the time to present some content to this forum rather than taking a role in the peanut gallery.

There would be much better participation in this forum if members did not have to run the gauntlet of one-liner bs-ers.

I dont even really care anymore. I would argue about 9/11 more but I've just brought Skyrim.

Oh I doubt you admire much other than your reflection in the mirror Zeuzzz.

You never struck me as anyone really interested in doing more than amusing yourself trolling in a 9/11 forum.

If fantasy games like Skyrim provide the intellectual outlet you seek, good luck to you.

I do not expect my actions to have any impact on the outcome of the future we all will face.

Both sides of the fence will face the consequences of 9/11.
