The Wicked Witch of the West and Obamacare

I'm guessing you are foreign to how logic works. Logic doesn't prove anything. Logic just shows if it is internally consistent. If you start with incorrect assumptions then your conclusions, while perfectly logical, will still be wrong.

My assumptions are correct and being common knowledge, are immune from attack.

In a word, no. But they certainly must have some sort of written certification.

So every sexually active woman has to get some sort of written certification every month she doesn't get pregnant, just in case she passed a fertilised ovum? 'Cos that's the only way you'll accomplish that, seeing as nobody knows whether they passed a fertilised ovum or not, when they menstruate....

Rolfe.

Nominated. For da Stundie.

Agreed. I am still utterly stunned by the illogic of this statement. In twelve words, Robert managed to squeeze in at least three logical fallacies: argument by assertion, argument from popularity (and another argument by assertion), and non-sequitur. Is there some sort of recursive fallacy for when you assume that your assumptions are correct or is that merely an instance of circular logic?

Yes. Argrumentum Ad Humoratum

Okay, so you agree that fertilized ova are not human beings and that even embryos, u to a point aren't yet human beings. Yet, earlier, you said that fertilized ova were human beings. So which is it, and at what point of development has the potential human become an absolute human? I've already given you my answer on this: at six-months, when the synapses have connected up the cells of the brain, making it functional.

One more question: Would you oppose forms of birth control that prevent fertilized ova from implanting?

It's a human from conception. Birth control is a sin, unless it is natural.

And if you use a condom, naturally she can't get pregnant.

But what does this have to do with America's rather limited attempt to implement universal health care.

At conception it is a clump cells with no differentiation, most of which will be discarded as part of the placenta.

Don't much care about what violates religious law. We're talking about US law.

No. We're talking about moral law. US law says that abortion is OK. Just like US law once said Slavery was OK. So much for US Law.

Since you ask the question, Universal Healthcare that provides for abortions paid in whole or in part, directly or indirectly with taxes, forces those who believe that abortion is murder to involuntarily support murder with their taxes. Get it?

And those of us who think war is mass murder have to involuntarily support murder with our taxes.

Taxes are not "a la carte" based on your moral issues.
