Occupy Wall Street better defend its identity

Fleatards take a dive in popularity:

The online poll of 1,005 American adults reveals that 35 percent still have a positive impression of the Occupy movement, but 40 percent now say they have an unfavorable opinion. About one quarter of the poll respondents had no opinion or were unsure.

Maybe it's because the novelty is wearing thin and the protesters are increasingly seen for what they are: A bunch of spoilt, overgrown children playing revolution with increasingly idiotic and irresponsible stunts. Like mobbing a Burger King wearing terrorist keffiyehs over their faces and calling for "stealing everything".

Duh! Nice going dummies!

"Imagine no possessions. I wonder if you can. No need for greed or hunger. A brotherhood of man."

What a dreamer.

Disgruntled Portland protesters storm the camp's kitchen to complain about the drugs, sex offenders and lack of safety.

Protester says they've been using the vagrants to artificially swell the numbers. Because of the camp's laissez-faire attitude to drugs, the vagrants prefer to hang out there rather than a shelter. These people went on to commit sex crimes and violence.

Occupy Vancouver is considering a safe injection site featuring a buddy system where, if you go to the info tent, you can get an occupier to sit with you while you do the heroin thing. The woman who died of an OD wasn't a part of the protest and , apparently, her family doesn't want occupy to do/say anything as they don't want to politicise her death.

Show me what an idiot looks like!
This is what an idiot looks like:

Police report on the matter:

This evening, Saturday November 5, 2011, five protesters from Occupy Portland handcuffed and bike locked themselves together to a barrel at Terry Schrunk Plaza and have stated they will remain in the park.

Two males have handcuffed themselves to re-bar inside of a 50 gallon barrel filled with hardened cement and various metal fragments. Two other males and a female have used U-shaped bike locks to attach themselves together by the ankle to one of the males attached to the cement drum.

Terry Schrunk Plaza is under Federal jurisdiction and at this time, the Federal Protective Service is choosing not to take enforcement action against the 5 people.

Hope they've got bedpans, because this dolt isn't going to the men's room anytime soon!

This might be worth watching, if only for the lulz.

Which will happen first?

- They go stir crazy and beg for help.

- Their arms whither enough from lack of movement, enabling them to slip their cuffs.

- Fire shows up with with a Hurst and rips that keg apart for breakfast.

- They outlast the San Jose wall guy.

you did nothing of the sort.
What part of

"Wall street in particular has donated heavily to Obama, the most to any politician in the last 20 years in fact. Yet how much do you see the protestors highlighting this fact? You see it's not about increasing the awareness of this fact."

do you not understand? So again, what has OWS done that is "fruitful"?

I don't have my kook-o-meter handy, just tell me the percentage and why this precludes the movement being about jobs in some way?
Even if it was about jobs, what kind of kooks protests against wall street or anyone else about there not being jobs, as if wall street has a hiring freeze and the protests will encourage them to lift it?

Eh, what? You actually think the protesters are asking to be hired by Wall St? :jaw-dropp

I expect the jobs bit has something to do with the role of Wall St. in causing the current economic woes, one of which, is unemployment.

Do keep up, OWS had a big march at the weekend with a puppet of Obama, and this was well publicized on the OWS website:

http://occupywallst.org/article/occupy-wall-street-obama-dont-be-big-banks-puppet-/

At New York’s Foley Square, the Occupy movement will stand with those on the front lines of the economic collapse in their struggle against the banks and the politicians who do the banks' bidding. We will join in solidarity with those who have lost their homes to Wall Street greed and political corruption.

We won't let Obama get away with being Wall Street's puppet.
My bold.

That's just it, who knows what the hell protesting and demanding more jobs is supposed to accomplish?

Yeah, okay we are all pissed that the economy sucks, what is it that they expect wall street to do to fix it, or is the protest just about "we're pissed"?

Good, about time.

What a dreamer.

What a fool.

You want to know what a society without possessions looks like?

There's even a poem on that page which serves as a pretty damning refutation of that Lennon song.
