On the Cain Train

How many jobs will be created by Cain knowing whether China or any other small insignificant states has nuclear weapons?

How many jobs will be created whether Cain has or has not being sexually harrassing some bimbos?

Let's talk about the economy stupid!

His plan to create jobs relies on the standard Republican theory that cutting taxes on the rich "job creators" and deregulation will produce jobs. Cain adds to this standard Republican formula tax hikes on the poor and middle class. 84% would see their taxes rise. The poorer you are, the more your taxes would rise. The poorest would see their taxes rise by over 900%.

Cain claims that this would create jobs.

None.

How many USA jobs will be created by the President having a firm grasp of international affairs and the effects of free trade agreements on employment, the environment, etc.? By having him (yes, I'm discounting Bachmann) focus his attention on the working class in America and not big business and Wall Street when formulating and implementing foreign policy?

I'd say possibly millions and I further say that Cain has already demonstrated substantial inability in the requite areas.

That's cute. You know nothing about the women or the details of the cases yet you assert without hesitancy that they are "bimbos". Keep it classy, angrysoba.

I suppose you missed the part where I was clearly taking the piss.

Oh well, I suppose your inability to understand blatant sarcasm won't cost any jobs!

:)

And just to clarify, I did telegraph the fact that I was being ironic when I implicitly referred to China as "a small insignificant state".

Returning to the backlog, I don't want to overlook this trivial but amusing bit:

When in a car with Cain, campaign staff have been instructed...
“Do not speak to him unless you are spoken to,” the memo said. link

More of Herman's bare naked alternate reality, during an exchange with Ron Paul in the Oct 11 GOP debate regarding the Fed:

Paul: Mr. Cain, in the past you have been rather critical of any of us who would want to audit the Fed. You have said -- you've used pretty strong terms, that we were ignorant and that we didn't know what we are doing, and therefore, there was no need for an audit anyway, because if you had one, you're not going to find out anything, because everybody knows everything about the Fed. But now that we have found and we have gotten an audit, we have found out an awful lot on how special businesses get bailed out -- Wall Street, the banks, and special companies, foreign governments. And you said that you advise those of us who were concerned, and you belittled -- you say call up the Federal Reserve and just ask them. Do you still stick by this, that that this is frivolous, or do you think it's very important?

Cain: First of all, you have misquoted me. I did not call you or any of your people ignorant. I don't know where that came from. You've got to be careful of the stuff that you get off the Internet, because that's just not something that I have said. And I have also said, to be precise, I do not object to the Federal Reserve being audited. I simply said, if someone wants to initiate that action, go right ahead. It doesn't bother me. I've been misrepresented in that regard.

Here are Cain's comments that Paul was referring to:

Herman Cain said:
Some people say that we ought to audit the Federal Reserve. Here's what I do know. The Federal Reserve already has so many internal audits it's ridiculous. I don't know why people think we're going to learn this great amount of information by auditing the federal reserve. I think a lot of people are calling for this audit of the Federal Reserve because they don't know enough about it. There's no hidden secrets going on in the Federal Reserve to my knowledge ... we don't need to waste money with another audit or commission that's not necessary.

Herman's color-coded lies break down like so: The purple part is the substantive lie. The blue part is just as revealing though. Even though Cain didn't use the word ignorant, Paul's summary of Cain's statement was still spot-on. This is the sort of hyper-semantic weaseling that we see so often here on jref, courtesy of liars and stooges.

Yeah. "because they don't know enough about it" is a polite way of saying "because they're ignorant."

The thing I still can't get over is how quick Cain and his apologists are to charge racism. In one interview Cain said he believed that racism was behind the Politico story, even though he admitted that he didn't have any evidence (you should watch Jon Stewart's bit on this if you haven't). Same with Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. They're using racial code words like "high-tech lynching." It's like they're channeling Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson and they don't even seem to be aware of it.

Whatever he is, he's clearly not a "post-racial" candidate.

Yeah, I did miss it. Because it was not "blatent" nor was it "clear". But I'll go with the idea that you were emulating Cain. You wrote some nonsense and with this post are trying to switch the blame elsewhere. Well done, grasshopper.

Bimbos are in it of their own free will, and it is of no concern to me whether a man of power takes advantage of that situation to their mutual benefit. The women with whom he had to settle wanted nothing of the smarmy little snake's advances.

That the sleazeball uses his power to get what he wants from people who want nothing to do with him is a warning sign that he might do something equivalent to that to us.

How dare you.

I've seen some really disrespectful and misogynistic posts in my time, but that was really beyond the pale.

I'll just have to come to the conclusion that the "Poe Law" has meant that irony is truly dead. Because some morons on the internet now hold sway it would seem that Joseph Heller and Jonathon Swift would be dead immediately.

For what it is worth, Herman Cain is obviously stupid and Republicans seem to be putting their faith in moronic candidates but it is clearly long since past that Democrats had voters who are wise to irony. Most of them are absolutely stupid.

Learn to spell.

And stop this childish griping.

Right.

"I didn't say they were ignorant. I said they didn't know anything."

One thing varwoche learned from Herman's press conference today is that Herman constantly refers to himself in the third person.
