Haunted House - For Jesus!

Same here. Used to be, the littl'uns who needed to be walked around by their parents went at dusk, and the bigger kids went after dark.

Trick-or-treating during daylight is like opening Christmas presents on some random Wednesday afternoon in the middle of December. Totally bogus.

Then there's the absolutely hyper-lame trick-or-treating they do in the big city... at the mall!

If I were a kid today, I wouldn't even bother.
Damn't ! I was actually going to say that trick or treating at the mall was awesome :)

But that's only because we do all three .... we go to the mall during the early evening, and then stalking the neighborhoods at night for a few hours. Then we retire to our house, climb up in the trees and hide and wait .... and once the treaters have approached the front door which is slightly ajar, reached inside the abdomen of the fake corpse that's sitting there waiting on my porch for their candy, when they turn around to walk off I start throwing bang snaps on the ground where they walk to scare the pi$$ out of them and send them running. Those who are brave enough to stay I jump out of the tree. When it's not too cold out .... I'll take my black boxer (dog obviously) and cover her in mud, making her look like a hell hound, and put her on a stake in the front yard with some leg of lamb or something for her to chew on lol :)

But yeah, I live in the city :)

Interesting. I'm engaged with a rather adamant fundie defender of hell houses on FB right now.

It's like she can't even see the possibility of how these things could be considered inappropriate or even distasteful.

Yeah, the one I heard about was called "Hell House". There was a documentary about it. I think it aired on HBO but I believe Netflix has it. I think the title of the documentary was,"Hell House". I'll have to look it up..

At work we had a costume competition - one of our devout employees turned dressed as Moses
